    Stickied League 1 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

I have to agree with the Port Vale support aside from going there as a backup, I would be surprised if he is expecting to be backup. He was a year into a three year deal at OUFC. So it's probably safe to assume he really needs to be first choice, though in many ways I'm surprised he's got a...

    Stickied League 1 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

I mean, it was the biggest budget in the clubs history last season. It’s hardly a ‘new’ thing that we are throwing money around. Our reputation under Karl Robinson was atrocious. We got knocked back by just about every target last summer because of the manager. We spent the budget horrendously...

    Stickied League 1 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

We had him on loan years ago. Michael Appleton signed him when he first arrived and had to throw a load of kids at it. He was entirely anonymous and doesn't appear to have done anything since.

    The Play Offs

He's so effective at this level, under Karl Robinson we decided that we didn't need to utilise him in a creative way and instead as a stopper in a holding midfield role where he was completely ineffective and out of his depth. Ridiculous.

Is it time for a 'Managerial Merry go round' thread?

Arguably there's probably a case for someone similar to Liam Manning though I suspect for that to work effectively more organisation is required from the little I've understood? Either that or a modern day 2023 version of Martin Allen to galvanise everyone... Just not Martin Allen! Yes. Though...

Is it time for a 'Managerial Merry go round' thread?

I wouldn't. For balance in previous seasons (when he actually took our Chief Scout's recommendations and signed some bloody good players) we played some excellent football. Arguably some of the best I've seen. That being said there's far too much baggage and it would be exhausting both managing...

    The Relegation Thread

Frustrating that the season ends shortly. If we continued our form following the previous two games across a whole season, we'd have won the league with a record 138 points. But I'll take another season in League One this time around.

We needed that, big time. Cheltenham were really poor. I think their only shot on goal was on roughly 85 minutes.

Look at us scoring a goal and stuff.

    Keep, Get Rid or Undecided

If our lot weren't tied down to generous contracts, they'd all largely been sold, released or told they aren't wanted. We are lumbered for at least next season.

We'll draw I think. It's the best we can hope for barring an anomaly in front of goal.

    The Relegation Thread

To be honest I think MK and Port Vale are safe for no other reason than every side beneath are just as, if not even more useless. As has been pointed out we can't score goals. Worryingly that probably isn't going to change before the end of the season. The best we can hope for is to draw our...

    Tues 18th/Sat 22nd fixtures

Money isn't an issue. Our owners are absolutely loaded, but distant. The people they've put in charge boast experience of working for Inter Milan and Man United. However they themselves also appear distant and have not delivered as we'd have hoped. One of them is at the club day-to-day and...

    Tues 18th/Sat 22nd fixtures

In fairness I wasn’t far off. The same number of points were taken (even if I was being facetious). We can’t score. We also aren’t tight enough to keep clean sheets to win games 1-0. It’s what gets sides relegated and we aren’t going to solve the issue before the season end. By the way, Marlon...

An excellent chance for what? I assume a 0-0 draw? It's the best we can hope for against anyone hopeless.

I'm sure every side will say this. I just don't see us scoring let along winning. What I think we can bank on which Liam Manning has helped is being solid enough across a few games to keep a clean sheet. Our best hope at this point is drawing sufficiently across the remaining fixtures whilst...

    Good Friday/Easter Monday games

We don't play any nice stuff. I spent some of the first half completing a mortgage application it was that dull. The second half was all Port Vale. We have absolutely no offensive threat. Josh Murphy should just retire. He clearly can't be bothered. Yanic Wildschut was fantastic five years...

    Good Friday/Easter Monday games

I would agree with this if it was true. But it isn't. Have you ever watched Stevenage and Wycombe? Even if we wanted to reach those levels we are far too inept to even attempt it! Kyle Joseph went for those levels a few times and it looked ridiculous. He was also a lone ranger in attempting it...

    Good Friday/Easter Monday games

I’m not sure why Sky didn’t pick the Port Vale fixture instead of the Sheff Wednesday one. Anyway, a gripping first half.

    Good Friday/Easter Monday games

Yeah... We last won on 21st January. To be honest, that was a fluke and totally undeserved. We're now in April. To be fair, Liam Manning has made us much more solid (which wasn't difficult). We just have absolutely no threat going forward whatsoever.
