I thought he was very unlucky to get sacked at Braintree. He inherited a mess and took them back to the National Division at the first attempt. Would they have sacked him if they'd lost the promotion play-off final? Hardly surprising 6th/7th place teams struggle at the higher level when you let...
Don't like the sound of this. They're due to visit Dulwich on 1st December in what could be the first game back at Champion Hill. (It'll be off if they beat Woking in the FA Cup.) The crowd could be close to capacity (3,000) but if we make it all ticket we have to offer the away club a minimum...
It is the existing ground. It is hoped to be back by the start of December when we are due to play Torquay, although that match will be postponed if they beat Woking to reach the 2nd Round of the FA Cup. The next possible dates would be an FA Trophy tie on 15th December or the Boxing Day match...
Very sad the way they were treated by the ground owners when the facility had just had a major upgrade, but moving to Dartford was madness when the crowds were already tiny at Thamesmead.
The clown presiding over this farce must be spending Tamplin-sized amounts given all the overheads involved in running the club at Torquay with attendances of 150. The comment that the players prefer playing at Torquay says it all. How can the club be sustainable in the long term at this level...
They've been struggling ever since they came up a few years ago without showing signs of improvement. They'd have gone down last season without the expansion from 72 to 88 clubs at Step 3. It's fairly predictable that they're likely to drop this time.
Thanks. I saw an article about that after posting. Sounds like a huge operation to raise an area covering 2 or 3 acres by (presumably) several feet. Hope it's effective.
He's a quick wholehearted striker, not the most technically subtle, but a good team player. He was most effective off the bench for Dulwich. Don't think he's National South standard but can certainly do a job for a decent Isthmian Premier side.
It sounds like he's completely out of his depth. I get the feeling some managers are better off working with limited resources and having to make do with a small group of players. He used a ridiculous number of players last season and was clearly either signing unsuitable players or casting...
It's sort of funny but a lunatic with £millions is playing fantasy football with a real club in proper leagues, he's totally disfiguring it, he's stopped my club from winning it's first Isthmian League championship for almost 70 years through his financial doping (which I'm very sore about even...
Dulwich Hamlet were banned by the National League from wearing their brand new kit at the start of the season because the National League logo was printed on the left sleeve instead of the right sleeve. Therefore two complete sets of twenty home and twenty away shirts had to be reordered and the...
First ever National League points for the Hamlet last night, 2-1 at home to East Thurrock United. On top from start to finish, we went in a goal down at half-time after being caught by a sucker punch. Hamlet had the visitors on the ropes throughout the second half. We wasted somechances, their...
It'll be interesting to know how many people actually turn up and pay to watch them. Or will the club effectively be funded by "supporters" subscribing to their online activities. If that's the case the closest comparison I can think of is Metropolitan Police FC, who have a team of...
I'd say Worthing are certainly a good each way bet at 33/1. They get big support for this league, Adam Hinshelwood massively turned them around last season takingthem from rock bottom after one third of the season to top 5 form over the remainder.
Kingstonian are my favourites to finish top...
