Surely Derby's Pride Park was the best option. Bang in the middle of the country, plenty of spectator capacity, plenty of parking around for fans arriving and its in Derby so no one is going to stick around after the game, win or lose they'll all head home sharpish.
The Hungerford chairman has confirmed the same.
I'd imagine it looks a bit like this atm:
North:
Fylde
York
Boston
Kidderminster
Gloucester
Chorley
South:
Dorking
Dartford
Eastbourne
Oxford City
St Albans
Hampton & Richmond
Ebbsfleet
Havany & Waterlooville
Hemel Hempstead
Chelmsford...
Team that votes against resolution one 'that clubs should have an equal say in how their divisions are decided' now believes that teams at level 2 should have equal vote in how the divisions are decided.
Many straws are being clutched and the people benefiting? Well at the moment it only seems...
I don't really care for or against teams doing a mini league tbh. Following the majority vote, we as a club are able to protect ourselves for next season. If clubs have money to spend chasing Macclesfield's empty space in the National League and think they can get it let them get on with it...
Not a good decision in terms of football. I'd dearly like the season to play on and have the escape from covid that football has been. The fault of that not being possible is squarely at the national leagues door. They mislead clubs into starting the season. Blaming and slating between clubs...
Completely agree. Even more frustrating now as there seems to be a majority verdict in the NLN and NLS divisions. So the 8 votes are cast from the regional division as 4 for resolution 1 (NLN) and 4 against (NLS). We can only be waiting for NL teams to submit their votes to reach the required...
:fl: We play when we want. I’d love to know which game we have chosen not to play? We are willing to fulfill our fixtures until the outcome of the vote is known, much like Chester who also voted for... yup that’s it Null & Void.
Ahhh yes the same Boris that said there’d be no second lockdown...
No more snow just the freezing temperatures.
Think it will be all down to the weather overnight, and just how cold it gets. Cant imagine Kiddy wanting to burden themselves with our travelling costs just for the game to be called off. So you start working backward for a reasonable inspection...
I can't speak for the weather. But up to now we have not refused to play any games, we have not (so far) put our name to any of the statements which say we will not fulfill fixtures. So if it makes it past the weather my thought is that it will be on, as we'll be playing up to the result of the...
We were well up for playing tonight. Unfortunately the York assistant manager turned up to be part of the pitch inspection and convinced the ref to call it off absolutely no idea why.
And for the other teams who weren't so lucky as to have an FA Cup run? I assume its sod them right cause McGill will see you lot alright?
Sort out the grants that were the basis of agreeing to start the season and we'll happily play on.
We are charging for our streaming service. Its high quality and has been very successful. But it does not replace (in full) the matchday revenue we are currently missing out on. Which is why at the start of the season we were promised grants to replace this missing income, and on that basis we...
Wont accept any loss. Ahhh yes I remember now. Pubs are currently forced to open arent they. Ohh nope they're shut, staff furloughed and hibernating their business in the hope that they survive as the conditions that exist at the moment do not allow them to trade sustainably.... it almost sounds...
Loaning money for trading costs isn't comparable to loaning money to invest in revenue generating assets. For example ground improvements. Not all of us were so lucky as to have our councils step in and pay £2million to keep the vultures away from our ground before leasing it back at a...
Because the season began under the proviso that grants would be provided to replace lost gate revenue while fans were unable to attend. What is selfish about not wanting to take on debt that you have no idea when youd beable to pay it off? It is the definition of trading insolvent and has...
Can’t have been an easy watch if you were one of the 170’ish Wealdstone fans to tune into the stream. We were well on top and after the first goal there was only ever going to be one winner. Even when the ref had a crazy 5 minutes with Wheatley’s yellow card and the bizarre penalty decision we...
