Good win against Cambridge last night - poor first half from both teams and we were down because of a shocking penalty (shocking in that I couldn't believe our lad made the challenge - it was the clearest pen I've ever seen).
Second half we were much the better team and once we equalised there...
From what I saw it was a good away performance against a top team in this division.
When they equalised the first time I thought we'd go on to lose, so to go back in front straight away was a bit of a shock - as you say though, I didn't expect us to see out a win.
Doncaster away - on paper we should lose, but we're doing quite well away from home, even the defeat to MK was down to us giving them three goals.
Reckon we might nab a draw.
He was transfer listed because we have to wheel and deal to make signings - we lost all but about 5 players who were with us last season, so when trying to get someone out to get someone else in, he and Tom Bradbury are next on the chopping block - especially when there's no interest in Matty...
It depends on why it was moved. We have Friday night games against Tranmere and Gillingham that were moved by the clubs and not because of Sky, so they aren't being shown on Sky Sports Plus
Surely you can see a joke when it's being made.
And it wasn't just the goal that was celebrated, it was after the final whistle as well. Fans trying to jump on the pitch - and it's not like it was even a local game.
The real difference is that I get it, and so does everyone else, but your dig...
Going to hazard a guess it was from our time wasting, how he only found 3 mins in the first place was hilarious.
Thought we were decent if not spectacular and really gave Vale a proper game. Fair play to them for going right to the end, and the goal was a great strike.
They didn’t half...
Home to league leaders Port Vale.
We'll probably lose, especially if we play as badly as we did on Saturday.
If we win, no doubt it'll be because of a useless referee or something.
I had the same problem until 1997 - Ceefax only went as low as the Conference and even then it wasn't a guarantee it would update as live. If we were away then it was a case of going to the shop around half 6 to buy a Pink Un.
I watched our first promotion to the Football League on Ceefax in 1999. We were at home, but I lived just outside Gloucester and was only 14, so wasn't allowed to go to an evening game on my own. I can't recall if it was on Radio Gloucestershire or not, so I just sat there refreshing Ceefax on...
I said this after we played them. They'll be decent this season, around lower mid-table, in no danger of relegation.
The problem is what happens next season when everyone knows how they play and sets up to combat that. They have no plan b at the moment, and failure to find one in the summer...
They didn't at Whaddon Road - even when down to 10 men they attacked throughout.
Bromley are what I call meat and potatoes. You know exactly what you're going to get from them from the first minute until the last. They're big, and by that I mean they are fucking massive - the biggest team I...
I'm not having this - we may not have been expected to win the division, but we'd just made the playoffs of the Covid shortened season and I was the most bullish I've ever been about us going up automatically in 20/21. The "experts" might not have expected much from us, but we certainly did.
As...
