There was potential for a similar situation towards the end of the 2012/13 season when it was looking possible that we would go into our final game at Dagenham with both teams needing a draw to guarantee safety. As it transpired, only we needed a point to guarantee safety, whereas Dagenham...
I'd be interested to see what the minimum number of points needed for the top 50 is. It was around 20 for the books thread, but I'm guessing the bar might be lower here, as I think we've had fewer responses.
Probably the former. I can't imagine I'm older than many of the people who voted, but my list is quite heavily dominated by older games and 10/12 have gone already: of those that haven't, one was released relatively recently (2006) and the other is a modern series.
This clearly isn't the worst League Two ever, such statements are hyperbolic in the extreme. Also, bear in mind that standards of coaching/tactics/technique have improved massively at all levels in recent years and it's difficult to make the case that the standard in our fourth tier now is lower...
It gets a hell of a lot harder later in the game, as you'll know if you've played it before. Most friends I've tried introducing the game to get frustrated and give up halfway through the first dungeon, which I suppose is what happens if you're raised on a diet of hand-holding modern games...
If it was given a lick of paint to make the graphics/interface etc. slightly more accessible for modern standards then I think that would be great.
On the other hand, if the game were to be completely remade from the ground up as an adventure game in the vein of, say, Heavy Rain for example...
My abiding memory of Code Veronica is buying it years after it came out and almost been refused on the basis of my age- even though I was 19 at the time and it had a 15 certificate- only to find that the first disc was scratched to fuck and my Dreamcast couldn't read it. I only completed it for...
The initial release of Code Veronica on the Dreamcast garnered quite a lot of hype. Virtually every media outlet gave it 9/10 or 10/10. I think it may even have been a launch title if memory serves me right.
Gary Johnson came on to the pitch and gathered all their players in the center circle for about 2 minutes before they went and applauded their fans, all of whom had stayed to watch.
Ico was mine.
Two other nominations of mine (Policenauts and Panzer Dragoon Zwei) have come up as well, which isn't surprising considering they're both little known fifth generation games in unpopular genres (point and click adventure and rail shooter respectively).
I'm a little surprised no...
Hartlepool have always brought huge followings to York which are completely unrepresentative of their normal level of support. That's not to say their usual support is bad, just that it's usually much bigger clubs who bring away followings of that size.
I remember one season in the early 2000s...
