Think this Wrexham project is very different to Salford’s. As awful and cringy the media spin is, their owners are undoubtedly doing things the ‘right’ way. The momentum they’ve got and the fans they’re getting through the doors mean they’ll go straight through L2 (if not, year after next) and...
Yeah that’s no worse down here I don’t think. But there’s a long list of things that are:
- Officiating is terrible
- Having to buy away tickets through opposition fans websites pisses me off, perhaps irrationally
- Opposition fans calling you arrogant just because you support a bigger team
-...
Sounds so much like us in the early days of our protesting against the Lemsagams. The first protest was attended by about 30 people. Then supporters groups formed to give fans more of a voice and organisation. Soon a few ‘rebels’ had become larger in number and more vocal.
Despite all that was...
Not been paying much attention to the goings on in L2 - got much bigger fish to fry these days, but I’ll give it a go:
Mansfield
Stockport
Northampton
Bradford
Swindon
Orient
Gillingham
Salford
Crawley
Walsall
Sutton
Wimbledon
Carlisle
Tranmere
Newport
Grimsby
Stevenage
Hartlepool
Rochdale...
Congrats Vale. Pleased to see you reach the final and hope you go on to win. Echo the sentiments on McKirdy. There’s being a wind-up and then there’s being a complete tit and he fits in the latter category. Some poetry in him missing a penalty.
Fair enough. Interesting point around wanting some different senior voices in the dressing room - seems to imply you don’t think he’d be good to have about the place? Surprised by that, seems to be a model pro to me
Tranmere fans, had a nosey on one of your forums and the consensus seems to be that you’d not want Clarke to stay on for another year. Where’s that come from? Very surprised to read that given he’s in the TOTS. Would take him back at Latics in a heartbeat
It will be fine. There seems to have been some kind of gentleman’s agreement that we won’t disrupt away games - for the exact reasons you mention in your post. I’d be amazed if there’s any mid-game disruption and, if there is, it’s more likely to be a handful of people who’ll get shooed off...
One nice thing this season has been the supportive comments from fans of other clubs. Doesn’t make it any easier to stomach but is appreciated so thank you.
Can’t quite believe I’ll be supporting a team in non league next season but the writing has been on the wall for a while now. Like other...
On his day, yes. His day has been very rare this season. To be fair to him, part of that is because we’ve been trying to play him up top which isn’t his position because we’ve failed to sign a striker all season.
No idea where they’re off to - I’m not ITK at all but but people who are have said they’ve both signed elsewhere. My guess would be Piergianni to Mansfield and Keillor-Dunn to Northampton but that’s guesswork
What’s gone against us most is that the players have jacked it in the last couple of games. The least talented group in our history now can’t be arsed and it’s showing. Piergianni and Keillor-Dunn have already signed contracts elsewhere for next season and most of the rest are out of contract.
