Garrity is one of the worst players I have ever seen in an Oldham shirt. This isn’t a case of sour grapes or anything - just search his name on our hashtag on Twitter to see people’s thoughts throughout last season.
Popped up with a couple of goals early on and absolutely can’t knock his effort...
Would be nice to have Rochdale down with us since Tranmere and Bolton look like they could both be pissing off and Bury have inconsiderately gone pop. Not bothered other than that. Northampton isn’t my favourite place to visit after our relegation there but looks like they’re joining us too...
Won’t be losing any sleep over Kewell going. We played some good stuff at times but were horrendous at other times too. Doesn’t really matter who our ‘head coach’ is while the owner’s brother remains in charge of recruitment. The club is rotten to the core and it’s hard to see a way out. Bring...
One of my favourite fixtures this - one of the first I’d look out for. Shame I can’t see it being on our fixture list next season!
We’ll get beat but should be an entertaining game.
No chance of our game going ahead at BP given the weather so we’re trying to get our game moved to Bournemouth. Should suit us down to the ground seeing as though we’re awful at home.
I’m pretty surprised at Cooper’s comments. You could hardly see a thing on iFollow from about 30 mins in. I only knew we’d scored because the commentator said so. Granted conditions might have looked worse on camera than real life but I think it gives a good indication.
As for waiting an hour...
You’re right but I think at this level, that does constitute a good side. Clearly some good players in that team too. They toyed with us for most of the game giving us all the possession knowing we weren’t troubling them.
I can obviously only go off what I’ve seen, and I’ve only seen the vast majority of teams once. But in those games, everything in my post is true. Didn’t see anything from Newport in today’s game to suggest they were anything above average at this level apart from Twine who is clearly a very...
Absolutely. The only good team we’ve played this season is Tranmere. Exeter seem decent too given the pastings they’re giving some teams but weren’t great when we beat them. Newport today had one decent player - Twine I think he was called - nullify him and they have very little yet they were top
I think Kent ‘suffers’ from having London on the doorstep with easy train links in from most of the county. Crystal Palace, Millwall and Charlton are all the right side of London and the latter have historically done a lot of work recruiting fans from Kent. IIRC, when they were in the premier...
Good first half at Cambridge. We’ve had a goal disallowed which should have stood and conceded a soft penalty so feel pretty hard done by. Anyone’s guess how the second half goes.
Today will be a test to see if we’ve turned a corner or not. Tranmere will be top 7 no question come the end of the season. I still fear our defence is too leaky and we lack any real bite or control in midfield which I think will be our undoing.
Real shame fans can’t be there to give Peter...
I think it’s fair to say most have been fairly critical of his performances so far but I’m willing to give him a bit more time to prove himself. Hadn’t contributed at all in games until yesterday where he got his goal and held the ball up well at times.
He’s been left out of games mainly...
Quite happy to see Southend keep on losing (sorry Shrimpers). We are going to be reliant on 2 teams having a nightmare in order for us to stay up.
Going forward we have some decent players - McAleny, Rowe and Dearnley are all more than capable of getting double figures at this level...
