Piergianni suspended. Our only striker (a youth academy graduate) out injured. Nicky Adams on the bench presumably knackered. Bahamboula who was told he wouldn’t play again in the line up. Desperate, desperate times.
Pretty sure we’ve not scored a penalty this season either. We’ve had two and missed them both - vs Carlisle and Exeter at home in March. How crucial they could be now.
Of course it’s not over until the fat lady sings but I can hear her warming up. I don’t see a way in which we get 4 more points than you and Stevenage are safe with their banker against Scunthorpe.
You’re right in one sense regarding the owner, but we thought that when we got rid of the last...
It’s over now. Annoyed with Shez for giving us hope - it should have been over in February. Really spineless performance today which is a shame because the players have been putting it in of late. Completely dejected and resigned to our fate. We’ll struggle again in the national league next year...
You are correct or course, but you’re forgetting the legend of John Sheridan. It is down to him and him alone that we’re not dead and buried alongside you.
Was a very entertaining game. Yeah thought Garrity was pretty quiet but he’s clearly had an impact at your place. Bahamboula has been rubbish for weeks now so was dropped. Trouble is he doesn’t work as hard as everyone else and Shez’s team has been built on everyone putting a shift in. I do...
Don’t think anyone’s said it was two footed but both feet were off the floor which means he’s not in control. That, the speed at which he enters the challenge and the fact his leading foot is off the ground makes it a red card offence in my book
Very entertaining game at Vale Park yesterday. First 15 from Vale was the best spell I’ve seen from any team this season and I thought it was going to be 4 or 5. But credit our lads, under Shez we don’t give up and if we’re going down, we’re going down swinging.
Think Vale edged it but I stand...
Great game at Vale Park. Vale one of the best attacking teams I’ve seen since we’ve been down here but we’re hanging on. Disgraceful decision not to send Garrity off for a potential leg breaker just before our second
Assume this is the average attendance at games where you are the away team? In which case, given we won’t be top of the away following table and given our last 3 away games are Vale, FGR and Tranmere which should increase our figure, does that mean that you all only come out to see the famous...
Who do we reckon the favourites for the drop are now then?
Feels impossible to call:
Barrow - points on the board over Stevenage but much more difficult run-in. Game in hand on Latics and similar run-in.
Latics - points on the board over Stevenage but much tougher run in and played one more...
Worst thing about it for me is that, as things stand, we’d struggle again next season.
There are literally no redeeming features to that division, getting beat by tinpotters and you can’t even drink watching it. It does feel as though its getting to the point where it needs to be a ‘division 5’...
