Two wins needed this week or we’re down, that’s how I see it anyway. Draw today and win on Saturday might just about keep us in it but realistically think we need all 6 bearing in mind ours and Stevenage’s fixtures.
Everything has contrived to shit on us at the same time over the last few weeks...
Made a bit of noise too - not an easy stand for noise to travel out of but thought you were decent today. You and Hartlepool been the best this season in my opinion
Mathematically it’s unbelievably still in our hands but realistically it isn’t going to happen. We can’t keep missing penalties and conceding goals - it’s all the hallmarks of a team that’s going down
No Missilou (international duty), Piergianni, Hart (suspended), Fondop, Luamba or McGahey (injured) for Sutton. Piergianni back for Mansfield. Can’t see anything other than two losses.
Bad luck within the context of the situation we’re in. Under an embargo which only allows a limited number of players in the squad with a cap on wages for new signings. A squad cobbled together by an absent owner and his idiotic sporting director brother. Meaning when anyone from the first 11...
It’s us who are going down. Had some real rotten luck with injuries, suspensions, penalty misses and officials in the past few weeks which has killed all momentum. Got a real tough run-in too, the rest of you can put your feet up
Centre backs - Piergianni suspended and McGahey injured (don’t know how long he’s out for but disappeared at half time v Swindon and didn’t play last night). Those are our only two senior centre backs.
Centre forward - Fondop out for the season. He is our only senior centre forward.
Thus...
Could be a massacre at Boundary Park. We’re without any fit strikers (Hope is a winger playing up front) and no fit/available senior centre backs after Piergianni picked up his 10th booking.
Just when we needed a bit of luck in keeping everyone fit, our paper-thin squad has capitulated. Dylan...
We do have a few players who are at least good enough for a team fighting relegation but unfortunately the balance of recruitment was all wrong in summer.
We didn’t have a single senior centre forward until Jan. Shez then brought in Fondop who, 75 minutes and two goals later, is now out for the...
He apparently gave the middle finger to someone who said something about his dead parents… Seen some awful stuff posted on social media too.
That Sheridan has made us competitive given our squad is something in itself. The lack of quality is nothing to do with him and everything to do with...
If you’ve evidence that Sheridan was actively trying to relegate you then I can’t argue - you will clearly know more about it than I do. However it seems much more plausible that he was dealing with a very difficult set of personal circumstances which negatively impacted his work
I’ve got nowt against Swindon at all, and most of their lot on here seem decent but the Sheridan thing is just a bit obsessive when, as you say, there were multiple factors in their relegation
That wasn’t a foul for my money. Piergianni’s and Hunt’s aren’t yellows either in my book. Much prefer a ref that allows players to get stuck in without booking them every time they mistime something.
Going to be a tough watch this second half I think.
A referee wanting to be star of the show at Swindon too. Booked 5 players so far but max 2 of them deserved to be (and one wasn’t even a foul). Swindon co-commentator reckons the ref has his name on his boots… legend in his own lifetime.
Swindon much the better team on the ball as expected -...

Interesting table on this website called ‘run in analysis’ which measures the difficulty of each team’s run-in based on the PPG of their remaining opponents. Suggests we have the toughest run-in followed by Col U and Barrow.
Despite...
