Who is good enough? Certainly not us. Not sure I care if we get in or not - the idea of us winning 3 games in a row, two of them away from home, is a nonsense.
You either seem particulary unlucky with refs, or. there's another explanation...
We're crap at the moment - so nothing to fear from Brackley. Gaz Dean our best player, looks out for the season.
Brackley now re-signed enough players from last year's squad to manage to put out a 5 a-side team with 1 sub.
4 good players retained, 1 also-ran, 1 reserve. All the strikers have left except one youngster who made no impact, who may have left too by now anyway - but the Brackley website is...
Well if he fancies a return... there's not a lot of Nat League East / East Midland teams to choose from. But maybe he'll have priced himself out of it... as I presumably he wouldn't have gone to Boston last year for less money.
If he came back, Lomas stays, and we found a striker who scored...
As virtually our only song goes..."The Banbury scum don't bother me, because I come from Brack-er-ly". It actually has gotten a little aggro in the past derbies - all rather silly, but that's football.
Brackley is about an hour from London or 45 mins from Birmingham, or 30 mins from MK. There's not a lot locally, but hardly isolated.
I've watched the crowds grow from around 200 to now around 500 a game, and it is nice to see these days the supporters aren't just old men or kids who can't...
Big big ouch. First I'd heard of it, though I know Ndlovu was close to leaving last year. Not surprising - but very disappointing... two of the best 5 players we have.
Well yes and no. I take the point - I grew up in Telford where as an 'overflow new town' from the Black Country, the local team was competing against family loyalties to the traditional West Midland big teams. Also some areas have a lesser tradition of football e.g. Oxford, Poole etc.
But...
Clearly many many caveats, (especially Curzon perhaps) but I'd say backs up what I've been saying for the last 5 years when people have a pop at Brackley's attendances
One thing I would definitely scrap is pens if the game is tied - in the event of a draw after 120 mins then the team higher up ought to progress. Wouldn't have made much difference this year mind.
I guess... but this weekend the lower placed teams that have won were collectively 38 points worse off than the teams they beat. The four best teams in the League this year have clearly been Gateshead, Brackley, Fylde and Kidderminster - but only one is going up. A lucky bobble, poor ref...
