Neither do I... but taking out the 6 goals conceded in 2 matches with Darlington & Fylde, we've let in 2 goals in 14 other League matches. It's not a bad record. Guiseley had one shot yesterday, whilst we hit the bar & post, and made a number of other chances
.
They seemed a very very angry team when we played them recently... constant swearing at and moaning to the ref, which helped get one of their players sent off. From what I saw it doesn't surprise me they could lose control completely and their OTT aggression prove to be counterproductive.
Erm... when we won the Southern League Central Division and later the Southern League Premier we looked from day one like we were a really good side for the standard. I thought we had a great chance as soon as I watched the first couple of games those seasons. Not feeling it here. We don't...
It will be a good test to see if we can be taken seriously.
Positively - 2 goals conceded in 11 games (ignoring the aberration of 3 vs Darlington!), some creativity, enough players so we can cope with an injury or two (for once!), flexibility in formation and shape
Negatively - don't score...
Brackley 1 -0 Gloucester. Pretty grim game, which Brackley edged. Gloucester looked limited, Brackley only a little bit better. I don't normally comment on refereeing, but it was a shambles today. At one point he signaled for a Brackley goal from a corner... only subsequently to rule it out...
And Kidderminster then has to go into the southern draw, because their opponents were southern... even though are clearly a better fit for the northern section.
Fair enough... although that still could be seen as a second class status for midland teams, who carry the location of the team they've drawn against.
But how did you end up in the southern draw with Ware in the first place?
But divisions like the Southern League Central Division are split up in the FA Cup depending on where the clubs are geographically - i.e. Hednesford in the north and Banbury in the south.
Also, if all Nat North clubs are in the northern half, how come we've played numerous southern sides in...
I'd largely echo hardbutfair. We're always good enough to get so far, but not enough to push on. And we always lack goals. I am surprised by what you say about the fans and Wilkin. I think he suits us down to the ground - a seemingly thoroughly decent man, who is very positive towards the...
My only point is that I think some of the optimism around that result from Darlington fans, whilst understandable given your start, should be set in context with Brackley's woeful start to the game, spending most of the match down to 10 men, and being flattered by our position in the league...
The midlands feels like it gets shafted when there s only a Southern and Northern league / cup draw - leaves midland clubs more travelling and less likely to have derbies - e.g. Brackley and Oxford City who are all of 30 mins away being in different leagues. However, the North-East and...

"A good number of those swelling the gates at Mill Farm are Seasiders boycotting their club’s home games in protest against the Oyston family’s ownership. But for Fylde fan Jack Connor the new ground, and its location closer to the town of...
