For the first time since scholes left the play offs are in our own hands.
Win all remaining fixtures and we are in there.
Of the chasing pack - given our form and goal difference we have a very favourable chance. Newport and Exeter away still to play
I'd happily take the same team into next season. It's not perfect, yes it can be improved in areas, but with consistency at management level it has shown it can perform.
I'd give it to wild permanently tbh in the current climate, he is the only one who has shown he can perform under the...
Don't think you can really say Swindon bossed the first half. Thought we sat very deep defending a 1-0 lead rather than being out played.
Would like to see the pen again, I thought it was a bit soft but I was at the other end of the ground so am probably wrong.
Swindon were a good side, but...
Wellens has it in him to be a good manager, just bottled his first job when the going got tough. We played some exceptional football at times under him.
Circumstances off the pitch wasn't ideal either.
As for the weekend a draw would probably suit Swindon more so than us, but I'd still imagine...
I don't know where to post anymore. 5 points adrift at this late stage says I should stay here but 3 (2-0) wins on the bounce against decent opposition are getting people giddy.
How low is too low to make the play offs. Northampton down in 14th?
On the night they were lacking cohesiveness and tactically they got it wrong, but in terms of quality you could see it a mile off. 3 or four of there players would walk into our team no questions asked.
Credit to wild for winning the tactical battle
2 absolute corkers from Lang sealed it. Both times, I thought he had over ran it but he proved me and many others wrong.
Tranmere were easily the best team I've seen up here, even though it didn't quite work for you last night, you can see you have quality all over the park. Always rated Perkins...
He got it wrong tonight. But he clearly learned from his mistakes as the game went on. That's all you can ask for.
Think it's clear though that the rest of this season is preparation for next
This is abysmal. 2 changes half time please. Mouche dearnley for sylla and Stott. Get Nepo and branger back together on the left.
He's tried something. Its not worked. We are not a big boot team and playing ogrady up top at home on his own doesn't work. Get back to playing football
Ben fucking Pringles.
I completely forgot about his abysmal cameo in the second half of last season until you just reminded me.
Thanks for the (painful) memories
Bit early to say must win but I know where your coming from. 7 from 9 would be a good return from his first 3 games.
As with every home game I expect 3 points. We can beat anyone if we are allowed to get the ball down and play.
2-0 tics
Ref again spoiled it again. We say it every week. Slowed the game down at every opportunity and needlessly pulled it back time and time again.
I actually think we looked more comfortable today than we did midweek, playing against a team who at least attempt to play football on occasion rather...
Scholes had it far from his own way against Yeovil. We were bullied throughout and only scored 2 late goals cos Yeovil opened up to get an equaliser.
Not that we didn't play well, but it was far from easy.
