    Week ending 30th October

Mansfield were awful, yet played as a team and got in our faces. Couldn't fault their commitment, even if all of their inroads were entirely of our own doing. We on the other hand failed to string two passes together all game and we move the ball painfully slowly, giving Mansfield all the time...

    Week ending 9th October

Very good in parts tonight, we're starting to gel nicely. Only thing is the team have looked shattered by the 75th minute in pretty much every game this season, so I wouldn't like to see us chasing many games. Peter Clarke is unreal at 39 - goal saving blocks at one end and at the other he's...

As tinpot as Crawley are, huge credit to the 105 that made a 6 hour trip in time of a fuel crisis to watch their glorious outfit adorn that knock off Stoke kit with such pride and vigour.

    Friday 10th - Tuesday 14th September

1-0 immensely flattered us. Yes, we hit the woodwork twice, but Dale ran rings around us first half, similar to the Hartlepool game last week, and got in down our right at will. Conversely, Morris was an absolute liability playing out of position at left back, and ultimately was at fault for the...

In fairness, both Bristol Rovers and ourselves recently went back to back from the NL to L1. Momentum of a promotion goes a long way.

Absolutely not a deserved win. Your problems up front were notable, in that a team with a competent striker would have stuck at least three away with the service provided down the flanks. We were torn to shreds down the right for most of the game. Up front for us, Maynard had a very uninspiring...

I was there in 2014 when I think there was 104 of us. On a Saturday too. Definitely the lowest away attendance I've been part of, and one of if not our absolute lowest since the late '80's for a league game. There'll be far more than that this year, our away support is much better than it used...

    Saturday 4th September

Smash and grab from us, we created nothing all game apart from the last ten or so. Pools only have themselves to blame, they were dictating the game throughout but then seemed to stop playing for the win and started kicking it straight back to us. Which had seemingly been our main tactic...

Not to reinforce casual stereotypes the rest of the country has about us folk from Merseyside or anything, but I've had the back of a seat from Orient in my house since circa 2014... A rather angry chap behind me kicked my seat in what can only be described as relegation induced fury, so I...

    Saturday 14th August

Please tell me Oldham pitch invaded again... fair play to them for taking two thirds of their home support from midweek away to Bradford, though. Didn't make it to Vale, had an early gig to play. Was a bit gutted not to be going, so a solid nil nil makes missing it a bit easier.

League 2 in EFL Cup: Tue & Wed 10th/11th Aug

I've seen ours back and it's literally one bloke who's brought the whole lot crashing down by trying to jump over them. I'm not condoning pitch invasions, and the daft bastard who's tried to jump them would probably be looking at a banning order if half the home attendance wasn't on the pitch at...

League 2 in EFL Cup: Tue & Wed 10th/11th Aug

Oldham deserved it on the balance of play, we were poor in the first half. Both teams require strengthening/gelling if we're looking for any thought of the play offs this year, though. The Oldham pitch invasion after winning a penalty shootout in the first round of the league cup is in the top...

    1st Matches of 2021-22 Season: 7th August 2021

Up to his usual tricks of falling over and kicking people. Did at least keep his teeth to himself, though, credit where it's due.

    1st Matches of 2021-22 Season: 7th August 2021

Re the red, I thought he got the ball, but didn't have the best of views. The replay doesn't really show much either way, as you can't see the contact made (if any) due to the angle, so it will probably stay as the ref's call.

    1st Matches of 2021-22 Season: 7th August 2021

We rather lucked out on that one, neither side had a whole lot of chances. Ash Taylor's open goal miss at the end made my weekend. Good numbers from Walsall, we should hopefully take 2k or so to Vale next week.

    Season Over?

A club in a less stable financial position than ourselves would go under because of this. Unfortunately people are only ever out for themselves, and this was the convenient solution. Goes without saying we won't forget this in a hurry.

    Season Over?

Chris, your standards are slipping. What happened to you, a once proud and dignified spreader of bollocks, hyperbole and lies, now reduced to this?

    Season Over?

I'm messing with you, I've pinched about everything I can from Rory, but I have always heard that the quote was about Roy Buchannon. No way of knowing really, Jimi's obviously in no position to confirm it and it could be that it's entirely fictional, which would explain all the names it's been...

The thing that gets my goat the most about Indian Dan is that the Rory Gallagher quote should actually read Roy Buchannon...
