On we go to Mansfield knowing that a win could take us top if Burton don't take 3 points at home to Wycombe. I remember going there 3 years ago in the pouring rain last time we went up, let's hope for more of the same!
Lawrence is a doubt after falling ill and missing training, hopefully he'll play. Really hoping we can put in a performance although today the football is secondary with events off the field. A very sad week for salop.
The last time we met at the Greenhous was the day we secured promotion from this division just under 3 years ago infront of a sell out crowd. I imagine we'll get just over half the crowd this time around but it certainly is still a very important game for us. The Daggers appear safe whilst we...
Nice one. We had a game abandoned three years ago against Port Vale and the rescheduled game was free for anyone who went to the original game. We then charged £10 for adults and £5 for all concessions I believe. Seems a bit crazy to have EVERYONE free though imo. Doubt you'll fill the ground...
Easter is huge. Burton could potentially go 9 points clear at the top or be 3 points behind Shrewsbury and Wycombe with Bury hot on everyone's heels. Can't wait for both games.
I know you're on a bad run but sacking the manager who finally got you promoted and in your first season has had you challenging for automatic promotion for the majority of it.
Crazy. Yes there isn't a HUGE gap between conference and L2, but there is definitely a gap between the top 5/6 teams...
Good wins for us & Wycombe. Little bit of pressure on Burton going into a tricky run of fixtures now. Title is still wide open imo.
Southend clinging on, I feel it's too much for them now.
Should make a new thread for this imo. On the subject of Collins, no way for me. He's scored plenty but he's played pretty much every game and hasn't been subbed much either. He's missed a lot of chances and ha dsome very poor games.
Edit:
I see someone has :)
I don't think we've had a real standout player all year. Woods has rightly received a lot of credit and has spent most games since Christmas with 2 markers but I for me, he's not been in our top 3. If the below 3 had been fit all year we would have won the league, no doubt imho...
Not one to hold a grudge but we owe one. A win courtesy of a terrible refereeing decision after the Ainsworth ghost goal and the chalked off goals this season would be nice :p
Huge game Saturday for both teams. A win for either puts them into pole position to catch Burton. A game both will be desperate not to lose.
After our disappointing draw on Saturday I'm just hoping we can get a few players back from injury. Mangan is close but I can't see him making the bench...
Shrewsbury Win
Wycome Win
Luton Lose
Bury Win
Southend Draw
Big 5 point gap between 3rd and 4th now. Good night for us, delighted with a win at Stanley.
