I was just putting some context behind the Chesterfield fan's comments that were factually incorrect. I think you've confused him of being a Shrewsbury fan? You've without doubt had worse injuries up until recently but I would definitely love a couple of those 4 coming back, hopefully Mangan and...
We've not had a huge quantity of injuries but the quality is certainly showing. They're also all spine players. Knight-Percival, Wesolowski, Lawrence and Mangan out atm who would all be starting if fit.
Well played but I think a draw would have been fair. You had a lot of possession at times but I think we created the better chances and should really have gone in at 1-1 if we put away that chance right at the end. Well played though and good luck with the playoff surge.
He scored a stunning goal on debut but has been a little quieter lately. He's doing well though, I think more goals will come once he's a bit more used to our style. I still think of him as 3rd choice once Mangan is fit again.
I hope our goalkeeper smashes Richards.
On a serious note, after a disapointing Saturday with yet another injury added to the mix, I'm hoping we can get back on track. I think we'll go back to 3-5-2
Normal defence
Woods/Southern
Clarke
Barnett Collins
Think we'll need some wingers if we go up. We currently only have 1 in the squad and he's not played since the first few weeks of the season. Strikers we've got plenty but none are out an out goal scorers although I wouldn't be worried going into League 1 with a forward line of Collins, Mangan...
Another very average loan signing in the worst season in living memory. Looked like a rugby player, didn't exactly set the world alight and I wouldn't want him back.
Someone on our forum made a list of games remaining. It's an interesting read:
"Interesting look is positions of the teams we have left to play vs Burton and Wycombe – I split the league into 4 groups of 6 teams.
Shrewsbury
15 games left
1 vs Top 6
5 vs 6 to12
5 vs 13 to 18
4 vs 19 to 24...
Our away form isn't THAT bad. We've played Burton, Luton, Southend, Plymouth, Exeter, Newport and Northampton away already too.
Infact it's the 8th best in the league and we've played a game less than 3 of the teams above us. A win saturday and we could potentially have the 4th best away record...
Should be our biggest away following of the season for one of the more local derbies. Hoping we can keep the momentum going and grab all 3 points. Will put a tenner on Lowe to grab a goal too...
I think we'll stick with 4-4-2 in the diamond again. Seemed to work really well on Saturday. I think...
Sounds a tad bitter at the end. You make it sound like winning the league is a given because we've spent a bit of dosh. I'm fairly certain our budget is outside the top 3 still. Our january business wouldn't have decimated the funds either, we're probably spending about the same on wages...
