After last season's experience, Scunny can be left on this list. We were comfortably mid table in L1 at mid-season, but went into a shocking slide that led to relegation. It can easily happen, but with only one going down from L2 this season, it is going to be harder for a mid-table side to go...
Main thing was to stop the slide after last season. We enter the New Year in midtable and need to secure that now. A midtable finish will be a relief. Unimpressed with Hurst as manager. Believe we need to change him out, but it will not happen.
I said on one of the threads earlier that we need an experienced keeper in January as a top priority. I stand by that remark, even though the manager may think differently. Would have had a point v Plymouth with a proper keeper in there. Both Eastwood and Watson are dodgy and have been since...
Welcome 3 pts at Boundary Park. Better than of late from us, but Oldham were ordinary. We'll need to pick it up a little to make sure we consolidate mid-table. Great strike from our wide left man for the first goal.
Awful from Scunny against a good Crewe side. Van Veen was ill apparently and had to be replaced at half time. Didn't make any difference, we were shocking throughout. Defence was awful, as we look to be slipping back down the table again. Need a proper goalkeeper in January as a priority...
Scunny to lose at Crewe by at least 2 clear goals. We are losing some form now with injuries biting and players out of position. Hurst lost the plot against Walsall with his team formation. Play a 4-4-1-1 with Van Veen linking midfield and attack and we might at least give them a game.
Our loss is symptomatic of our losing both form and players and we need to correct both in the January window. Must consolidate our mid-table position. Last season we fell to relegation from a similar position and need to stop that happening again.
He stayed on the field of play, didn't take his shirt off and celebrated. He got booked for it. Presumably for inciting a bunch of Grimsby meatheads. No need for further action. No need to introduce some limp-wristed pussy-whipped modern day pc bullshine FFS.
