There's a small section of our support who would clap us down to the National North, they're just happy we exist. However, the majority would definitely aspire to be in the league above but understand that stopping the rot this season is progress.
There's also a lack of belief because of the...
I wouldn't say it's just a Crewe thing, we were on the back of four unbeaten and a real feelgood factor around the place and nobody outside of ST holders turned up.
Is midweek football dead?
In general, i'd say home support is about 10% down on what I'd expect across the board.
The away followings don't surprise me given (apart from local matches, teams on good runs, new grounds etc) it's generally only diehards travelling to midweek aways.
Ha. Apologies. I thought you were a bit of a nonce (I've just been on a Crewe thread so had it on the brain) but having gone through your twitter timeline you seem a decent fella. All the best.
I actually backed Crewe not to lose yesterday simply because I couldn't be having Notts at odds on given they hadn't won all season. However, I won't be putting any faith in the Railway children again given they simply can't create.
I said on our match thread last week that Crewe just don't...
Four unbeaten now from what looked on paper like a tricky spell. As others have mentioned, it does feel like there's a feel-good vibe coming back, and that emanates from the players who clearly have a strong team spirit as shown by the celebrations for our recent goals.
The league table is...
Are Crewe just on the wind up? Artell saying we 'lulled' them into hoofball and your Twitter account saying you were the better side despite managing one shot on target all afternoon.
It'd be embarrassing if it wasn't so consistent. I'm genuinely worried about them. A bottom 8, Division 4...
The truth is, the Vale fans who go to Crewe away are generally season ticket holders rather than the nutters so any 'trouble' is nothing. We've only gone around en masse to confront Crewe fans after the dodgy Donaldson penalty almost ten years back and even then you were well protected by the...
We pull about 20% extra in for your visit but I'd hardly call that anything special. It's about the same as Boxing Day fixture, for example. Neither me or any of my Vale supporting mates give two flying fucks about Crewe in complete honesty. Haven't been to your place since we battered you on...
Seeing as I got no bites earlier i'll post something more genuine. It's probably my least favourite game of the season, a fake derby match where we often have to be at our absolute best to get anything. Different story at Vale Park where we have tickled their bellies a number of times over the...
An excellent win and shows that with two up top and legs in midfield we are a decent side at this level.
9 points from 4 at home, let's just sort that away form out please (starting at Crewe would be nice)
