Just helps keep things objective. What did teams forecast, what did they budget, what were the assumptions behind their revenue streams and how have those revenue streams been affected by Covid? If a club submitted a £1m budget and the assumption was it would be largely funded by investors (for...
Gate revenue has been substituted for streaming revenue. How many clubs have declared how much revenue they have made by transferring their season tickets to streaming season tickets (so retaining that revenue rather than refunding it) and the number of streaming sales per home game? And then...
There is a post on Instagram in response to the official club announcement, from Dean Brennan’s wife
”the snakes will be in charge on Saturday. You live and learn and karma is a bitch”.
Been a few rumours recently about the dynamics at the club, now this shock news and this post. Will probably...
I'd be staggered if the NL season was curtailed. The potential consequences with the EFL are too great for the majority of clubs so we'll soldier on regardless. And despite all the negativity so many like to peddle at the moment, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I think we'll see fans...
Cannot see how you could do that. That would be like companies furloughing their most expensive staff to get them off the wage bill at the taxpayers's expense, whilst getting low paid staff or volunteers to do the job instead. The whole point of furlough was to save jobs that may not be required...
Not to mention it's just been announced the R number is now between 0.8-1.0. WHO also issued guidance 48 hours ago for labs interpreting PCR tests to ensure the number of cycles are reduced, to reduce the sensitivity (which may be driving large numbers of false positives). This may mean the...
..and all these signings are exactly the reason why the NL season won't be paused or voided. Too much investment already sunk by many, they'll plough on regardless.
Robbing Peter to pay Paul. Money distributed by the NL to clubs in the future would be reduced. But I agree, I think its the only viable option on the table now.
Does anyone know what the trigger is for the loans to be repaid? If they are structured like Student Loans for example - increased levels of revenue and profitability trigger repayment - then for the majority of clubs they will never be paid back anyway.
And secondly, is this more of an issue...
Stones sign central defender Josh Meekings. 28, nearly 200 games in the Scottish Premier League, Scottish Cup winner, played in the Europa League and was captain of Dundee last season.
Judging by the Bromley press release, he was released by the Stones and they snapped him up quickly. Nowhere near good enough for this level. Looked like an average NLS player at best.
Sorry, should have said "planned" £100m investment. And as for triggered weirdos, our feelings towards your owner and your club are more than warranted, as hinted at by our club lawyer on our forum this morning too.
Happy new year btw, hope you get relegated.
