Fair fucks to Bristol City. Thought they were excellent over the two legs and gave us a bloody good go.
Kudos to Lee Johnson and his team for having the bollocks to take the game to us. "If you can't beat em, join em".
Good luck lads for the rest of the season.
Looks like we are stepping up our interest in Fred from Donetsk.
Won't proclaim to know an awful lot about him but supposedly a long term replacement for Fernandinho.
Nail on head.
I think the clubs view on finding an heir to Kompany, Silva, and some respects Fernandinho has also taken priority over securing Sanchez. And whilst I agree money is likely to be no object, as I mentioned previously, Sanchez now becomes a luxury buy rather than a necessity.

Don't think anyone suggests the squad is flawed however it's clear when teams stick the hard press on it highlights our short comings in key areas.
Thankfully domestically and with all due respect there isn't many teams that will be able to expose it to the extent Liverpool did, however it's...
Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
Quality player that would be a great asset to have but I get the feeling the club feel as if the overall money package required to secure Sanchez could be splashed elsewhere in the summer to enhance the Pep project further.
Happy to remain level headed...
In hindsight given Aguero's non existence and lack of other option, I would have stuck Sterling up front yesterday. Utilise his pace against Matip and Lovren and to a certain degree keep him away from the touchline with a stadoum full of Scousers baying for his blood!
To aspire to be the best team in the World you have to be able to adapt when under pressure.
When all is said and done we are having a fantastic season, I have no cause to grumble (far cry from the days of visiting Bootham Crescent!!), and ultimately yesterday's loss wont define our season, but...
I think that is a fair comment. We haven't looked as 'steely' for want of a better word since Kompany first started with his injury problems. It's an area and attribute that I hope we address in the summer.
I am all for playing the brand of football Pep wants and sticking to those principles...
A handful of good games at the start of the season masked his limited ability at the elite level, but that's just my opinion of John. I sincerely hope he goes on to prove me well and truly wrong.
Ah, noted.
Always felt that Barkley is a "when arsed" type of player. With chances more limited at Chelsea (then again.... Bakayoko LOL) it is pivotal he grasps every opportunity if he wants to get back in the England fold. Make or break.
