The club cleared out a lot of dead wood and the Chinese owners are very rich. Presumably still within the realms of our FFP commitments.

Looks like it's being completed today by all accounts. Ovie Ejaria the next one through the door - a permanent move from Liverpool. He was the excellent on loan for us and would be a great acquisition.

Looks like our self imposed transfer embargo may finally be over. Close to deals for George Puscas (£10m) and Lucas Joao (£5m). Also, Rafael, an ex Napoli keeper who has played for Brazil, and Pele, from Monaco, are apparently nearing completion as well.

In my view the greatest English player that I've ever seen live - obviously Bobby Moore etc notwithstanding but better than Gazza, Gerrard and Lampard. I saw him play on three occasions against Reading and he was unplayable each and every single time - industry, sheer power but fantastic...

LOL @ the standard of football in Scotland if arguably the best player in that league moves to Preston. No offence to Preston.

Matt Miazga set to rejoin on loan for the season - him and Liam Moore were excellent last term. Add in the returning Jordan Obita and the always excellent Andy Yiadom, a very solid back four. We're also signing Charlie Adam, but I'll choose the ignore that...

Rumoured that Juventus are looking at Danny Loader for £15m. Just think of the many ways the club could waste that money

Liam Kelly close to joining Luton on loan apparently. Was an excellent player under Jaap Stam, obviously not liked at all by Jose Gomes as he has barely featured since he took over.

He was linked with Reading the other day - messaged one of the CSF lads I know that is good mates with his family and he denied it. All that's needed in this modern age :cool1:

Granted but we've all made mistakes - it would have been a good opportunity to start making amends after his public dressing down. He's an excellent option and miles ahead of James Vince.

Easy win for the bindippers in the end, shame they won't win what really matters for another 25 years.
