It really had died a few months ago but had seemed to be picking up again lately, I couldn't get onto the Forum yesterday seemed to be issues so maybe that is why the posts were lower? The Prem forum is like a graveyard and here is not that much better, the lower league sections seem to still be...
Best matchroom card for a while, Edwards will win a 12 rounder, think Hughie is getting Povetkin at the right time, looked well out of shape at the weigh in. Fair play to Hughie he's taking tougher fights than Tyson at the minute. Really looking forward to the Lomachenko fight for some reason...
I think Celtic have the easier group but I struggle to see them winning away at Rennes or Lazio. Same for Rangers away at Feyenoord and Porto, they'll both need to win their 3 home games for me to potentially scrape through.
The centre back options apart from Harry Maguire and Gomez are a bit meh aren't they? Surprised no Walker but we're extremely well stocked at right back. Lingard shouldn't have made the cut for me done not a lot for a good while now, more than enough in there though to get two comfortable wins...
Not surprised he's probably our best player, but he's not had a great start this season albeit out of position. It's between him and Forestieri for that left wing position and Fernando hasn't really had a chance yet this season.
Back at Hillsborough against QPR, we've won both home games this season and if we're going to push the top 6 we'll have to make it a fortress. Good to bounce back from the loss at Preston last night but we've got to be looking at another win in this one. QPR seem to have had a reasonable start...
What do we reckon will be the TV games? Hoping ours is as I'm now out of the country for the next few years, and not sure if League Cup games are on Ifollow.
Manchester United V Rochdale
Preston V Manchester City
MK Dons V Liverpool
Portsmouth V Southampton
If it's 4 games I see those being...
Happy with the draw, if you're not going to get one of the lower ranked sides a game at home to a club like Everton will do, it's winnable but very tough considering how serious Everton are taking the competition. Seeing all the big sides kept apart is a bit shit, can see some potential upsets...
Too many changes and as usual it yields a disjointed crap performance, seemed like he was shoehorning players in to keep everyone happy, we need a new manager fairly sharpish. Happy to get through though, home draw against lowest ranked side next please.
League Cup is good once you get to the last 16 stage, early rounds are a grind but you do get some new grounds to tick off or ones you rarely get to visit.
There needs to be changes made, doubt there will though and with the way clubs are overspending these days there will be another 1 or 2 in the same situation by the end of the season.
