A few on X suggesting we might be bringing Josh Austerfield back, who we had last season on loan from Huddersfield. I thought he started well buy fizzled out last season whilst on loan, overall a little meh. Also not sure centre mid is tye position we need most, I'd be more happy to see us bring...
Can't remember if I've done one, and can't be bother looking through, so I will do one now and this can be my true prediction.
1. MK Dons
2. Doncaster Rovers
3. Port Vale
------------------------------
4. Chesterfield
5. Carlisle Utd
6. Gillingham
7. AFC Wimbledon...
Seen on twitter he's expected to sign a two year permanent deal.
As for Cooney, I don't mind keeping hold of him as a squad option but not as a week in week out starter.
Port Vale game was always going to be moved. Not too much of a nuisance with it being so close, just abit annoying as it will knock abit of the away crowd.
Also last year the same fixture vs Barrow we moved and did a cheap deal on tickets that worked very well, so maybe that's in the thinking. Colchester were probably never bringing many more than 100 no matter what anyway, so we won't lose out financially there.
Stoke at home tonight for us, should be a good test. Probably going to feel like an away game as I'm expecting there to be more Stoke fans there than home fans.
Beat Newcastle Town 5-0.
Played 2 different teams in each half. 1st half wasn't the best and Bogle missed a pen.
Much better 2nd half, goals from Tabiner, Lankester 2, Hemmings and Sanders.
Played 30 odd times for Orient last season in the league above, also played quite a few games at Lincoln. So looks a decent pick up. Leaves us with some good experience and depth in midfield. Thomas, Powell and Sanders along with 2 of our own in Tabiner and Holicek.
We now have a pre season training camp to start things off in Portugal (no games) and we've also added a game vs RCD Mallorca, sadly not away from home, but a behind closed doors game in the UK.
Gutted Calisle away is a Tuesday night on December as its usually one of my favourite aways. Likewise Wimbledon as that was good one last season. Barrow away 1st day isnt too bad I suppose, much better than going there in the middle of winter anyway. Cheltenham away on boxing day, hopefully...
They've said Stoke will be bringing there strongest team apparantly, which will make that game mildly interesting I suppose. Tamworth is abit different also, might make the trip for that one, see if we can put to rest the horrors of the fa cup game there in 2010.
