To be fair I think we can reasonably say we're in a bit of a false position at this point - our form since DC came in would put us 7th. Wade Elliott gave everyone an 11 game head start which may very well cost us still, but since then we are comfortably a top half team.
Pett is an absolute class act, baffles me that he didn't have a club until October. Thought Chislett looked a good player for you but otherwise not much to get excited about from a Vale pov
Well that would have been an absolute travesty if we'd gone in behind at half time. Shite goal to concede but responded well and battered Vale since. Same again second half and we should win this.
Two wins and two clean sheets in a row. Port Vale at home on Saturday is huge. We'll win if we play like we did tonight, no doubt, but we're just as likely to shit the bed a la Wycombe last week.
I was quite down on us after last week's poor performance, but the way we responded today gives me hope again. Looking forward to Blackpool on Tuesday - we always seem to play well under the lights at home.
It's not literally a must win for us tomorrow but it feels like it. On paper this month always looked like it would be defining and if we start it with losses to Wycombe and Cambridge that might just break us. Flip side, win and we're in with a shout.
The results don't reflect it but our away...
Funny how we see it! First 15-20 I agree, we were on top and looking decent but once you scored I never felt we were close to getting back into it tbh. That's probably the worst we've played since DC took over.
