Some bullshitting going on somewhere.
Michael Nelson signs for Chesterfield and says he was never offered a new contract at Barnet. May 8th though, Allen says that he's met all the players and Nelson has been offered a new contract. Seems strange that Allen had the authority to release...
People that ring the bell on the bus more than once. My ringing the bell not good enough for you? Why did that bus stopping sign magically appear?
People that get off the front doors of the bus stopping people getting on and slowing down the journey time. Take your time mate. You don't need...
There was also some really good football in his time here too. The start of the season we were relegated, we played Shrewsbury off the park, had a belter of a game with Mansfield, should have beaten Cardiff when we let in two late goals, and had a cracker against Lincoln, coming from 3 goals...
John Still confirmed on a 2 year deal.
On balance I'm happy enough with this. We've cried out for stability and he will give us that, but also we should still be challenging for promotion.
The chairman said that the budget would increase when there was talk of Allen staying, so that needs to...
Don't underestimate the ability of our chairman to screw up managerial situations. He moved Still upstairs first time around to bring in Tony Cottee (boo Cottee out!), and we were relegated 7 months later.
Allen back with John Still now DoF *shudder*
Still now 1/5 to be our next boss. Might still be the bookies making an assumption, but it's a fair one to make, and Still was pretty clear that he's not retiring just yet.
Mixed views if it is to be him. Clearly knows this division as well as anyone, and has got teams out of here better than...
Current front runners according to BetVictor.
As Kleanthous has never successfully enticed a manager (that's if he has even tried) to leave his current role, that would make Michael Nelson the favourite.
But if he was going to, then why not replace someone that was in his fifth spell, with...
The irony of saying that to a Leyton Orient fan.
League 1 would be very busy if we were using that as an entry criteria. We'd be in League One too.
He would definitely be on a shortlist if I was making one. Bags of experience and overachieving at Hendon.
Garrard would be worth a look as well. Doing all that is expected of him at Boreham Wood. I'm sure every Barnet fan would bite your hand off for a trip to Wembley next year.
It you want to rub Barnet fan's noses in it, then our board will give plenty of targets. But as for me, I'm hoping it is true, and I will laugh myself silly if Muggleton rocks up there.
Don't even joke about things like that!
Who knows? We had someone in kind of that role, but apparently it changed to a more general manager of the entire site. That said, it wasn't that difficult a job as a lot of the players released were certainties to go.
You seem to be under the...
It is the perfect job if he wants it. Take a big salary, with no pressure, then if it screws up, sit by the phone for our chairman to ring him again. His pension pot is building nicely after his Eastleigh stint, 8 week temping with us, and now another pay day.
I think the idea of seeing out his contract is again one that should appeal to both parties. 18 months ago, he was worth every penny of a million pound deal. We clearly won't see anything like that coming off the back of last season, and the time left on his current deal.
It is more of a...
