The moment I start mellowing towards FGR and you are reminded once again that Vince is an absolute cockwomble.
Very tight and could have gone either way. Low on quality but high on grit and determination.
Apologies for the minority of idiots - Chorley players deserved their standing ovation as they came off the pitch.
In GuiseleySteve's defence - we've been "functional" all season. With McManus back, our back 4 will be fine. Would think we'd need 4 or 5 new in front of them.
Not bankrolled AFAIK, always been relatively decent sized and the fanbase has swollen significantly over the last few years with disillusioned Blackburn fans.
If at first you give the ball away... Give it away twice more to ensure you concede a goal.
Awful that from an Aldershot point of view but a very smart finish.
Seems harsh, but the statement reads laughably.
Basically saying "we know the rules, we're not meeting the rules, but lets kick up a fuss and appeal anyway".
The league have clearly been fed up with clubs promising to do works and not delivering and therefore changed the rules in May last...
From what I can see that's it done and dusted.
As missing out on a title goes, it doesn't look the most horrendous year to do it. I can't see Newport or Orient challenging so if Tranmere keep the squad together then the title's theirs.
Unless they win the playoffs of course...
Not really the right thread but I'm backing FGR for the playoffs. Think the lower expectations from recent poor form will help them and a player that can score a goal from nothing in Doidge
And to clarify on the flawed comment - it's flawed in that I disagree with a point rather than your logic or point isn't sound. Really enjoy when people look beyond the superficial!
A well thought out article. A bit flawed in places (IMO) but generally well thought out.
The key thing it misses for me is the calibre of individuals in the league. Is there anyone in the last couple of years with even close to comparable quality of your Vardy, Andre Gray, Gregory, Marcus...
Not at the game but 0-0 follows the general rule with us and Brackley.
We've still got a hard run in, but gives us a tiny cushion for the run in. Last thing we want is a pressure game at Chorley on the last day.
More nervous about Alfreton and Curzon at home than Fylde as we've been better...
We should have been 3 0 down but thankfully Kiddy have had one of the worst halves of finishing I think I've ever seen.
We grew in to the game when we got a foot in midfield and realised their 5 is utterly woeful and had the best of the last 20 mins with Kiddy looking dangerous still.
Kiddy...
