He won't set the world alight, but is an average defender at this level, and his versatility makes him a useful squad member. He wasn't our first choice centre back but had to play a lot at right back as we had no-one else to play there for most of the season and didn't look too uncomfortable...
Let us win 3-0 and I'll happily support you winning the league.
Remember that game well, especially the bullet Zebroski header from an out swinging Nicholson corner. Can also remember posting on this forum (well, TFF) about the game - but not exactly why either of those memories has stuck...
31 starts and 15 sub appearances in the league, so featured in all 46 games. From that he scored 4 goals and got 3 assists, having played as a mixture of striker and wide right.
I think Nicholson gave a very honest assessment that this is a big year for him. Exeter don't want him and he's got...
If it goes ahead for somewhere in the middle, circa £400k, then I think it's a risk worth taking for Aberdeen. The injury makes it a gamble, but without it I don't think he'd be stepping back to Scottish football. If he shows anything like his St Johnstone form then at only 24 years old it's a...
Yeah, was excellent for us in his 13 game spell and would have liked to see him return here. Highlight was 1 goal and 4 assists in the 5-5 draw at FGR on NYD.
He scraped 10 for us last season, with 4 in the closing weeks, but those 4 kept us up. Until then he was a disappointment and struggled to hold down a starting spot.
Work rate and attitude aren't the best but he's certainly capable of individual moments of brilliance when facing the goal. Most...

We need a left back and right winger, and may not play a flat 4-4-2, but I imagine these 9 are either in or very close to our first XI.
We're looking stronger...
Surprised that Richards ended up with Macclesfield. Not that disappointed though, he's been here for three seasons and had that feeling of someone who would be around for ages, just doing enough to get a new deal but never enough to get a better offer. He's taken a pretty sideways step but...
Brendan Moore - GK - Gone to Rochdale. A very good shot stopper with incredible reactions but strangely let down by his basic handling and distribution abilities. I would have liked him to stay but think we can replace him with a more reliable keeper (Michael Poke linked) just without the wonder...
As seemed likely, it's been a much busier summer for Aberdeen. Having got the highest non Old Firm points total in Scotland, Rangers signed Ryan Jack when his contract expired. Celtic have today signed Johnny Hayes as well for about £1.3m plus Ryan Christie on loan for the season. Start the...
Michael Poke linked with a return to Torquay. I liked him during his last spell and I think he'd be a pretty solid signing if Brendan Moore is moving on.
We didn't offer him a new deal, and I'm quite glad to see him go. If you want a positive then he improved as last season went on, but overall a good athlete/well under par footballer. I'd hope that we can do a lot better when replacing him.
In other Torquay news, we have re-signed Myles...
He left after the season ended as he wasn't offered a new deal, he just made a 'goodbye' tweet today and reveal that it was for financial reasons, which most people assumed was the case anyway. Possibly attitude has held him back because he can be devastating when on form, but he's never managed...
What annoyed me was that he was in the same situation twice and did the same thing both times - once the defender pulled his foot back and so he looked like an idiot, then the second time the defender went through with his clearance and made contact. He still threw himself to the floor to win a...
Dundee United player sent off for two dives. First clear dive and second there was contact but he still threw himself in the air unnaturally to win a penalty. Ref is getting stick but he's thrown himself to the floor twice and been booked twice. Hope the appeal fails, as there being contact for...
I like grounds that are different to the standard fare, and Scotland is great for this. Dumbarton is right under a massive rock with only one side, Cowdenbeath has stock cars, Berwick has speedway, Raith have a stand for just a corner then nothing along the whole side of the pitch. Dundee have 4...
I watched the first leg and remember thinking Brechin is a ground I definitely need to visit. By comparison I went to Alloa vs Hibs last season and it was nothing special. The plastic pitch in particular is really off-putting and makes it feel like a training match.
The 2nd leg was a belter...
Aberdeen have rounded off the league season nicely, with 2 wins in Glasgow this week. Rangers on Wednesday ended a very long hoodoo there, and then the 6-0 win at Partick yesterday was excellent. I had a few quid on Partick as I thought Aberdeen would rest a few players, and they did, but Scott...
We signed Hurst 2 years ago now and kept him less than 6 months. He's since been at Guiseley, Telford and Dover, so pretty much 6 months at each.
He was ok for us on the pitch, but has thrown his career away. My money would be on him moving on again in January.
Pleased to see that the SFA have given Aberdeen a 51-49 split for the Cup Final. Was the only possible decision given that Celtic want "their" end and Aberdeen will sell out.
I am in Berwick today to see Edinburgh City celebrate staying in the SPFL in their first season up. Only 40 minutes on...
