Utd were 5 ahead of us after the first 3 games and everyone thought they were winning the league.
Now in November Lpool are 10 points ahead . Lovely :)
Really? More than this bad call on Sterling? The goal was good, would have given us a draw with City instead of a loss. So rather than all three points going to City ---subtract two points from them add one to Lfc .Ergo,we win the league instead of them and the 'slip' is irrelevant.
I've been following the team for 50 odd years, there are few surprises any more. Right now there is no one horse ,two horse race . Any one of a half dozen teams are in with a decent shot at the title this season, Lfc being one of them. All are competing/challenging to the title and as you...
Oh we are challenging, the question is rather can we sustain that challenge.

Looking at the league table it seems Lfc are actually challenging for the title right now. Whether we'll still be at the top in May remains to be seen but I like what I see from the team so far :)):
Yep, there's also been plenty of reports re a new improved contract for Coutinho which I expect will happen. I agree with Pagnell that good things are happening at Anfield this season, the team is on the up . Coutinho is at the centre of it and I don't see him moving in the near future either.
I think most Reds are just enjoying the ride right now. We'll end up wherever we end up but right now the football is fantastic and fun to watch. Loving it :)
Fair enough. I'll agree Bolasie is likely more important to Everton given they seem to have less depth than Lfc at the moment. They do play different roles tho and perhaps a comparison with Mane might be more realistic.
After 11 or so games what are you basing that on? They have one goal each so statistically pretty close. I haven't watched Everton too much but Bolasie doesn't have a good goal scoring history during his career-12 goals in four years with Palace. He's strong and fast without having a great end...
Look , Huth and Morgan are not imo opinion great cb's nor one of the leagues best pairings. but last season to their credit they got the job done. My point being that I'm not concerned re Lpool's def coz I think they're are also capable of "doing enough" and "getting the job done" this...
Sort of. Mine is based on the expectation of a settled def showing improvement the more they play together. With Pagnell's argument he's basically saying this is as good as it'll get and nowt will change. I think we've already seen improvement ie 5 goals conceded in the first two games but...
Not nonsensical at all. Leicester's cb pairing and def as a whole were / are nothing exceptional but Ranieri found a system that worked for them last season, not so much this one. I know that's a simplification coz many other factors obviously can play into winning a title.AndI'll disagree...
