We've won 6 of the last 9 at the Abbey in all competitions so it'll be interesting to see how we cope with another of the league's better teams in Plymouth.
Doesn't look like we'll have any of the injured players back, plus Worman/Lankester will have to step up to fill Wes' place. The team will...
Fair result tonight - we just couldn't find the quality to score with Ironside, Tracey, Iredale, Hoolahan all out. Bolton all over us first 45 but the second half very even.
Bolton massively improved since we played them earlier in the season, they've knocked the pointless and endless sideways...
I'd be surprised if we brought in a wide player - Lankester has finally got himself into the reckoning, Knibbs and Smith are proving to be adequate wide forwards and Tracey must be only a couple of weeks from a return?
I'd say cover/a partner for Diggers is more pressing.
Blimey. Donny should be about four goals up and then their CB stumbles on the ball and last kick of the half we lead. Guess that's why they're bottom...
We've been awful.
I think that's exactly it - I was expecting 1,000+ but it's a strange year for us with lots of attractive away fixtures and Lincoln is further down the list for a lot of people than might ordinarily be the case.
Now that we've sent Simper and Jobe on loan we simply don't have many players we can switch into the side. I was very glad to see Digby, Williams and Ironside rested though.
Could be goals galore then - we've only had one fit CB the past few weeks although we've got Sherring in on loan now. Remains to be seen if Bonner will trust a very inexperienced CB pairing of him and Okedina though. Iredale may continue there.
Patch em up and go again for us, we don't really...
You have more faith than me SVH! I suspect if anyone waves a crisp tenner at us we'll let them pick which player they want.
But yeah, Iredale is awesome - very athletic and can play just about anywhere.
I can see why Cambridge v Luton isn't televised - not exactly a glamour tie.. but Plymouth have been shafted there, there's is potentially the best tie of the round.
Our nice easy run continues with a game Vs. Rotherham. We've continued to play well in this spell but have been undone by either a lack of quality in defensive moments or a moment of quality from the opposition.
We'll give Rotherham a tough game again but we'll need to stop gifting goals if...
Ouch. 2nd bottom of the form table. At least we're at home to the club one place above us!
We need a win. I'm not expecting it to be easy but we're more than capable if we get on the ball a bit more and don't sink back too deep in defence.
Yeah, ours is rearranged too due to internationals (Donny were too scared to take us on earlier in the season).
We've got some serious selection issues, which is not ideal off the back of some poor form. Only one fit central midfielder, looks like we're having to get an emergency loan keeper...
Frustrating for us that we started so slowly yet again. Ipswich can't cope with being put under any pressure yet we weren't aggressive enough with them until the 70th minute.
Agree they don't look like a promotion candidate. Their fans must be alarmed by the lack of bottle they keep showing...
Not sure there is actually? I always suggest away fans either do a pub crawl from the station via Mill Road area or pick some of the pubs in town and get an Uber to the ground.
Lankester joined us injured and has been getting up to speed, he's played some minutes recently and will be in the reckoning for a start - it'll be him or Tracey for the right wing I reckon. Tractor boys will be delighted to know a certain Wesley Hoolahan should start.
As a guess:
Mitov...
Ominously Ipswich seem to have picked up a bit of form of late, but perceived wisdom is that they've struggled to break teams down if they sit in and may not have the guts for a full on scrap.
So maybe some hope in that - we'll presumably set up as we did vs. Bolton - let them have the ball and...
