Cambridge need to bounce back after our first poor performance of the season vs. Gillingham. What we did last season very well was follow up a loss with a win and I trust us to be resilient, but an away point would still be a decent return.
I don't know if Crewe have changed their style this...
Pretty poop half from Cambridge, not much control although in fairness it's pretty windy. Can still get something from this though as we're only 1 down.
Not convinced by O'Neil in a midfield two.
Confidence beginning to rise at Cambridge and a home game vs. Gills seems like a good opportunity to keep the points coming in.
A draw wouldn't be a disaster but I fancy us to nick the win.
No need to change much after Fleetwood, but assuming he's fit I'd bring Jones in for Okedina. I like...
Away fans can park close to the ground if they want. Better to get the train and pub crawl in to the ground though as there are some great pubs on the way.
We're lucky that the Councils in Cambridge will only allow the University to build anything. We'd have had a soulless bowl years ago if they had anything but complete disdain for the football club.
Bolton look like being a couple of players away from a promotion side - do you need to upgrade Doyle though, or is he just not getting good enough chances?
Seems like Lincoln are improving but it's potentially still a good time to play them.
Apart from our Captain being out for most of the season, we should have a fit squad with some knocks having had a chance to heal. Hoolahan will play and we might even see Lankester get some minutes but we'll...
Didn't watch the game but a very satisfactory night's work versus Oxford. Made ten changes and won 4-1. Teenagers Jobe, Worman and Bennett apparently very impressive and I believe Kai Yearn became our youngest competitive goal scorer at 16 years 102 days.
Much needed minutes for Smith (who...
Yeah - I'd like to see us starting games more adventurously. I don't think we're good enough defensively to count on keeping it tight for long periods.
We've managed to create chances in both games so far though and I do believe we'll find our feet, just doesn't seem like we've settled on the...
Not sure how true this is but someone on our message board said that Oxford had turned down a further allocation. Don't see why you would, but also don't see why we wouldn't give you more; we often give part of the south habbin to away fans. Strange.
The massive Oxbridge derby. You can guarantee there'll be unsavoury scenes - stolen college scarves, incendiary Latin graffiti and groups of uncouth chaps swinging oars in a reckless fashion.
No idea what to expect on the pitch, just hope we look competitive against an Oxford side I believe...
There were lots of clubs interested in Mullin and he must have been convinced that someone in LG1 or the Championship would sign him when he turned down our offer, which was widely expected to be one of our most lucrative contract offers ever.
Bonner said it was never Mullin's plan to drop down...
We've known since before January that he'd very likely be gone this summer, so plenty of time to find a replacement. I'm not too worried, if he stays great, if not, I'm sure Bonner has a few options he's talking to.
Looks like Lankester from Ipswich is close to signing.
You reckon? Surely we'll just go with Mitov and KML as reserve?
Signing another senior keeper would seem a bit of a waste of precious wage budget to me.
Cambridge have tweeted a bit of analysis into our Ifollow sales this season:
47,009 passes sold
1003 International passes
3rd most Ifollow revenue in league 2
A Championship club could take a punt on Mullin - 34 goals will make a few of them take notice and the outlay in wages would presumably be seen as minimal to most of them. If a PNE took him on a free as a wildcard third choice striker it wouldn't be a terrible decision on paper.
That said, I...
