If coming to our place by train (unlikely for Northampton fans) you can plan an epic pub crawl to the ground via a number of old man real ale boozers in the Mill Road area.
Otherwise, get here early and do as Alan suggests.
You should be allowed in our supporters club at the ground (£2 entry...
We have a few decent players and a lot of dross. No attempt was made in the summer to move the dross out or recruit new talent and the decent players we have (Halliday, Maris, Forde) are all playing well below their capabilities.
Our strategy this season seems to have been to tighten our belts...
Play Azeez as lone striker and we lose, play Jabo/Corr instead/alongside him and we'll nick something.
Or something else will happen. I suspect this will be a season of despair and false dawns. Annoyed I can't go tomorrow though.
After the limp performance at Vale, i think United will be much improved this time out. County will be tough to beat though, so I reckon 1-1.
Azeez has to be dropped - assuming either of Corr or Jabo is fit enough to stand still and hold off defenders. Hopefully Brown returns to play off a big...
Being good was the trend in the 90s. Nowadays all the cool clubs try to nail 12th in league 2. It's much harder than getting promoted.
We must be strong pre-season favourites for the mid-table cup too, having taken the wise decision not to sign any additional quality for a bang average squad.
I also heard today that the Board have decided to stick with Derry until the end of the season - the argument seems to be that he's not had free choice over signings and that therefore he can't be fairly judged.
Implied within that, that recruitment processes will change and January signings...
I thought we were bad but Barnet were next level terrible. I do thank them though; their centre backs provided the only entertainment today - we were running a sweepstake on the direction of the next shanked clearance.
That's the way I feel too.
Sadly it also almost certainly means that Derry will get to spend whatever January budget there is. Given that he almost spent it on Ollie Palmer in the summer I'm resigned to us wasting yet more cash on a big useless lump.
I agree with this, at least we show some ambition this season to score goals.
It's just all so frustrating though. It feels like we're happy to waste a few seasons bobbing around in mid table whilst we congratulate ourselves on being financially sustainable.
Don't get me wrong, the commercial...
Talking of ambition... D Dogg's column in the programme was a reflection on the FA Cup. He implored supporters to get behind the team in the next round, as many people will see us as the underdogs...
AT HOME TO BLOODY SUTTON!
On the same day we have Derry bigging up Chesterfield as "they were...
Park near the train station and do the pub crawl into the ground. The Devonshire, Kingston Arms, Cambridge Blue, Dobblers, Wrestlers, Supporters club to finish (if welcoming away fans tmrw).
Takes a fair while to walk in one go but you're never more than 5 minutes walk from a decent boozer. As...
Elito is so frustrating. That run he made through several defenders last night (before badly scuffing the finish) was superb but he made so many elementary mistakes, including twice miskicking when we had a great chance for a through ball and also shinning the ball out for a goal kick at one...
FGR look comfortable on the ball but I have not seen a worse defence since we returned to this level. We should be out of sight but our finishing has been woeful.
I have a strong suspicion that only scoring 1 will bite us squarely on the arse.
Elito isn't a good enough starter but interesting option to bring on against tiring legs.
Maris will be lucky to keep his place after last week and IMO should never play on the left; it leaves us very narrow, crowds the attacking midfield position and leaves the left back exposed.
I'd like to...
We'll win this. Crawley seem destined to finish in the bottom few and Dezza has always been able to bully scrappy away wins at the lowly teams.
No point predicting the team as the Derry random team generator will fire out whatever it fancies at the time. However, I have a feeling we'll see a...
This one sounds like it has the makings of a classic.
The league's two most depressed fanbases cheering every completed pass, as two defences packed with teenagers, out of position players and some not even good enough for regional football, compete to lay on the most chances for the...
