The score line would have been double. There’s a reason why Grimsby are bottom half of the bottom division and Brighton are close to a final and European place. It was pretty much Brightons first team.
It sounds like he’s saying that the only reason half the division is strong and look ready for a promotion is because the bottom half is so awful. So if another team came up they wouldn’t do that well.

All this proves is that teams that go up in general have that initial feel good factor bounce as long as they keep the core of the team together. Hence why they are doing well and teams like Forest Green who have been dismantled are doing poorly.
