I'm trying to take a bit of confidence that our squad as it stands (Since deadline day) is top of the table.
I think we are so close to clicking but the inconsistency at this level is huge. Even mid game you can flick a switch and change completely.
Before today I thought so too. We have been good since Jan. But as mentioned above they beat us and it's in their hands now.
Wouldn't mind Grimsby playing like that against them Tuesday though.
We've really got to score the good chances we get. Since Newport bet we have missed 5/6 free shots in the 6 yard box.
Grimsby deserved the win overall. If we carry on finishing like we are there is no chance of autos.
I don't think Gnahoua has been good enough overall. Shows a bit off the bench, but not sure he is going to step up and feature enough if we go up. He's not really played well when he's been given a start.
Similarly don't think Tutte would get much game time. We seem short of a CM option off...
If you just draw the game in hand you should do it. Morecambe would need 3 more wins than you over 5 games and I'd be surprised if they won all 5.
I'm delighted to be where we are, but there's something about Bolton, especially over the last 10 years. We never do it the easy way. Think 9...
Salford were quite good after going behind. Maintained quite a high intensity. They didnt create any amazing chances but made it hard to play out. Lowe had a solid game.
Nice to know we have a cushion to take a bit of pressure off. So many teams get in the automatic position and throw it away.
Morecambe are just continuing as they have all season. No real change in their form. If they keep that consistency up, maybe they make it.
We're definitely good enough to get top 3. So frustrating today. But we also needed a better performance than the last few. We got that but were more wasteful.
Think these are worse, you know they're poor points to drop if we do. I was anxious over the barrow game, which was set to play out similar.
I'm more relaxed now as we seem to find a way. Going a goal down to Walsall I wasn't sure we'd score 2.
Could really do with a win though given the...
That wasn't me, but I did think he'd be good this season. Last year in league 1 he was pretty good in a makeshift team. 5 assists in his 12 games.
Was delighted we got rid in Jan. He was so wasteful. Pass completion must have been awful and his shots were more likely to trouble the upper tier...
If Tranmere beat Cheltenham and Cambridge they can only get 89 and 88 points respectively. We could still beat them to top by outscoring them and winning all our games, but no one will win them all anyway.
We don't really look like battering anyone. Although it would certainly be welcome for our goal difference.
Hopefully we can get one early. Any chance you do anything other than sit back for a 0-0? Seemed to be an open game v Tranmere.
Yeah I saw that mentioned. He's also made a few appearances so should at least be match sharp.
Has Nugent been underwhelming? Thought he'd potentially be another who looks a level above the division.
I doubt it. He says he wants the opposition to see them run off and feel that they're not going to ease off/ tire.
I think it's probably more effective in just drilling players than anything. Guess we'll know if he loses a dressing room when they all walk off instead.
