In theory there is a better pool to recruit from. Players who would be on the fringe of squads in higher divisions will have been available to teams in league 2. Whether that's true is hard to call.
Not one team is odds on for the weekends games currently, so shows how open the results are.
I...
Yeah not what I expected. Saw a few comments that they wouldn't mind playing a team that don't sit in. Then they have come and sat back after the initial press.
We've been good again though, could have been more.
Average being a decimal?
It feels like it changes the probable outcome week on week at the minute.
Tranmere losing Vaughan could be big for them.
A few teams with injuries too and there is no let up on the games, so others may end up with similar.
But it's just about expectations, they've finished 13th or above in 6/10 the last seasons, also won the championship. So they have both the up and downs, and some stability. They also got Rafa in and have paid reasonable money on some players.
It doesn't even compare to the troubles some lower...
Absolutely hate the prem viewpoint. Newcastle fans claiming they've had it the worst in recent years, while they watch prem football week in week out. Arsenal fans another who like to make the claim as they're no longer winning titles.
Yeah I agree. Doesn't seem to offer enough threat on the crosses given how many we are putting in.
Think he wants chances like the Morecambe one rolled in to him. But with teams dropping deep, we're not getting that opportunity.
Gutted with the result. We've got to be more clinical. Dominated for long periods but just can't get it over the line. Good finish for the equaliser, but we dropped deep and invited pressure.
Hope it doesn't knock the confidence too much going into Tuesday
We haven't signed anyone since the salary cap was scrapped. So our squad must still be under the original rules.
Yeah it's awful. That facebook banter group is just as bad too. Unfortunately, as we're one of the better supported teams, we get more idiots too.
Barrow replied to someone on that tweet. Salford aren't tied to ifollow or something and have their own service.
So you can add another couple to the figures
Just had a watch and it's basically a coverage/ tech issue. As far as I know, the publicised pages that do xG in league 2 use live text. So it's a lot more limited and highlights a big issue with it as it is only as good as the available data.
The first 2 are a good finish and an OG, so pretty...
Yeah I think it's interesting, but can appreciate others who don't. At the same time, if you don't like xG you may as well ignore shots, shots on target etc. As it really is just an improvement on them.
Think it's particular useful to get a quick idea of the balance of play, whether teams...
I thought he would push on from the good year he had at Hartlepool. Remember him getting quite a bit of hype at the time. Not sure if the year after he was out injured, but he hasn't found that scoring form since.
I guess he's still got a good few years in him. Quigley wasn't what I was...
As proved by what?
As a model for analysing matches based on what is probably limited data in league 2 it isn't too bad. A lot of the league is roughly forecast to be where they actually are. The anomalies may be down to good/ poor finishing, eg Tranmere and Vaughan v a Barrow.
Fair enough, that's similar to the Oldham game for us. When you're ahead the other team probably add to their figures in the last 15 mins to even it up a bit.
Looking at the xG tables Bradford seem to have a knack of winning in close games.
This from Jan form
From that period the xG results for us both;
Bolton P7 W3 D2 L2
Bradford P6 W1 D4 L1
In ours, we have a draw for the Oldham game, which was a pretty comfortable win and I think a loss v...
May have been me, Evatt even mentioned it. Lee played about an hour, the front 3 also came off. Think the general pace of the game was slow enough, even those staying on should be okay fitness wise.
“I think so,” he said. “I think we took our foot off the gas because I think we all felt that...
Really looking forward to the game. Have no idea which way it will go, Bradford with a tougher game last night, whereas we gave a few key players a rest. Think we start unchanged from that too. 3/4 who came off would be most likely to change, so possibly stick with them.
Wish we had a few more...
