A new low at the Rec tonight. We actually made a very mediocre Weymouth side look good.
Apathy is our worst enemy, so many good supporters are now losing interest, and we’ll never get them back.
That’s now 9 home losses in a row.
I wish I didn’t care so much.
Couldn’t get to the Rec today, long term family commitment, but had a number of sneaky updates from attendees, and post-match analysis.
Other than our defensive frailties, pretty upbeat, definite improvement in midfield and promising attack options. I’m sure MM will sort out the defence, and...
Like to think we could scrape maybe a point tomorrow, having made a totally unexpected number of signings. Some of them actually look the business. May take a few games to integrate, so it’s up to MM to motivate our perpetual underperformers.
Home again on Tuesday, so vital we get at least a...
Aldershot have signed Gime Toure on a month’s loan, from Carlisle.
Any good, Carlisle fans?, why’s he out of favour? We have another french geezer here on loan, and he’s useless and uninterested, and we don’t want another.
Chance would be a fine thing. Suppose we could put a few spotty youths in the team, but otherwise we’ll have to play same old. Which will make it doubly embarrassing if we don’t get a result..Unthinkable
Yeah, was thinking the same. Depends on their style of play, if they play “up and under” to some big guys, we’ll struggle. Fitness may ultimately be our saviour ( hopefully). Losing is unthinkable.
With one or two notable exceptions, Danny Searle assembled a squad totally unsuitable for this league. New manager Mark Molesley will have to play the hand he’s been dealt, although the purse strings seem to have been loosened a little. MM is going to need exceptional motivational skills and a...
Manny was a great favourite at Aldershot, he came to us from Brentford, with a history of niggling injuries. But a great engine when fit, ran the midfield whoever the opposition. Legs of spaghetti, unfortunately, stopped his career at a higher level.
Well done, that’s nearly full terrace. Be careful of the plastic barriers if you celebrate a goal, if you break them, you’ll be branded as hooligan scum.
Please leave by gate 5 to avoid the local s̶c̶h̶o̶o̶l̶ies hard- nuts, as instructed.
Yeah, go along with that. With Harris back from suspension also, we may actually create something for whoever may be upfront. Defending is a worry though, we have a couple not up to standard. New manager MM has an attacking policy though,so could be interesting . 2-2
Yep, glad someone spotted it; big boys at the top end ignoring the intruder going about their business as usual. My old mantra - Beware of Boreham Wood.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the table, Shots somehow wrestled 3 points from Dover, hardly deserved. Just about keeping our heads above...
