I predicted 0-0 on this thread last Wednesday, but didn't have a bet on it. Couldn't make it today, but my son was there and said we battled to nick a point, but Doncaster nicked a point off us last week, so these things tend to even up some times.
£680, that's sweet. Can't believe Rovers were 12/1, very generous.
The year Gills got relegated to league two about 4 years ago, they had to get a draw at Wycombe last day of the season. After beating Leeds and Southampton in our previous two home games we thought it was a cert. For us to get...
16/1, Kinel! No I've got £50 at 8/5, my mate got in about a week earlier at 9/4. I did get Gills @ 25/1 pre season the year they won league two so I know how you got such good odds at that time of year.
BCFC David, I know exactly what you mean; when we won league two a couple of years ago it was the same. We were top of the league, expecting to win every game, when we didn't, at the end of the game the boos rang out from some areas! Yet we were top of the league FFS.
After you beat us at our...
That's it then, we'll just have to scrape into the play offs and win. The championship would be heaven for away games for us: Watford, Ipswich, Brentford, Brighton, Fulham, Charlton, Reading and probably QPR coming down. Us Gills fans can only dream!
I'm desperately jealous of you guys up north. I wonder how many away games can you get to that's within an hour and a half travelling time? We have Crawley Colchester and Orient, 2 of those 3 yet to come. I haven't worked it out, but geographically speaking, which one of you is best situated for...
Yes I think our close proximity to London means we always take a big crowd to Wembley; 1999 P/off final 48,000. 2000 P/off final 44,000. 2010 P/off final 38,000.
We don't let in many goals these days, apart from freak goals like Barnsley last week, so I'll go for a 0-0 or 1-1 and be happy with that, but would be really happy if we could win 3-0 as in last away game against the Swine.
I didn't realise this thread was allowing posts again, I was frozen out before. Just wanted to say a well done to Cardsfan for all his stats, excellent. I also wanted to say that as a Gills fan there are hardly any local games for us in this division, which when looking at the stats, it appears...
Freak goal from Donny unfortunately. Their bloke punted it into the area, it caught the wind and sailed over Nelson's head. What was he doing that far off his line anyway?
I did say, apart from the Barnsley result last Saturday, that we can beat anybody in this league at the moment. Having beaten top teams MK Dons, Sheff U and now the Swine, it'll be a very interesting next away game at little old Bristol City!
On current form, last Saturday apart, I'd expect at least a draw.....However, so many players below par last Saturday against Bunsley that a repeat of that performance could see us struggle. Just hope that the Swine who turned up against Crawley turn up against us.
I'm confident we can beat anyone at Priestfield on current form, having beaten big guns of the division MK and Sheff U recently, but we seem to always come unstuck when we're expected to win. So I'll be happy with a scrappy 1-0 win.
How many are Barnsley expecting to bring with them? I'm a...
Jamo. love your away support table analysis, I had a link to one last season, but can't find it now. Where can I find it or is it your own compilation?
Let's face it, MK just haven't got the history or tradition to inspire good away support. They get good home support but their away support is a little embarrassing, and those 321 that did travel to Priestfield were very quiet. Around 470 Gills at Yeovil today which is a good 3 hour trip. It...
