Hope Dover keep winning. Can't be losing any members of the Kent Coalition; the bulwark against the so-called brotherhood. There's a good chance of Welling making it five members next season.
QUOTE="Urban, post: 837242, member: 295"]Worst performance of the season, way worse than any of the dross served up when we had about 4 1/2 fit players. Genuinely terrible - absolutely tonked at home by a Maidstone team who are probably sill wondering if today was all a dream - that’s how easy...
In fairness, apart from a yellow card for diving in the penalty area, Solihull were no worse than Maidstone for sportsmanship. No complaints about their three goals which came from defensive howlers. Just when the Orient cup result was giving us hope for the league...
Theme park project not dead yet.

But, coupled with the Ebbsfleet news, maybe an indication that Dr Abdullah Al Humaidi wants to spread the financial risk.
I wouldn't visit such a place if you paid me. Be then...
Wonder if our signing of Jack Powell was influenced by erratic wage payments. I would rather be paid a little less, but on time, than have to worry every month. It must sew the seeds of doubt in a player's mind.
Four million pound drip feed. If the new owner has money, he would be better spending it upfront on a new main stand that generates income and a little excitement around the club.
What's the long term plan? Presumably Meadow are only allowing this because they know they won't get planning from hostile politicians. Are they hoping to now play the system and get planning by acting like good guys?
Some clubs are in a long term upwards trajectory. While others look on in terror at York, Stockport and Torquay, helpless and at the mercy of incompetent owners.
Think of it as more an AA type support group than a brotherhood. Visualise a circle of downtrodden people sitting in a circle in a cold draughty church hall. From the shadows a timid voice pipes up, hoping to be heard; "My name is Leyton Orient, and I'm an underachiever". "Well done," replies...
Some of the business owners on the nearby industrial estates must have made a fortune on the offers they were getting. Would be funny if it didn't go ahead; the local roads couldn't cope. But something will be built there, probably another dull housing estate pretending to be a garden city.
While you're being crushed to death on our small modern terrace, take comfort from the fact the stand won't be literally collapsing under your feet.

All that's happening is a sugar daddy club no longer subsidises the wage bill. That is good news for other local clubs trying to break even. Gravesend and Northfleet were an established Conference team surviving on gates of 1000. Now they're an established National League side with gates of 1400...
Travelling fans have ticked off most away venues. It's bad enough never winning at home, without giving up a whole day to get beaten at some northern place you've never heard of in real life.
A couple of seasons ago that would have been an exciting prospect. Now I find myself longing for an obscure lower level minnow to visit for an interesting day out.
