The first of a huge week for us. Would probably take a draw at this stage, Southend were awful against us earlier in the season but sounds like they’ve finally sorted their act out.
Surely this can’t be sustainable? You must have spent nearly a million in transfer fees alone since the American’s came in. I get that they’re minted, but surely there’s going to come a point when Reynold’s wakes up and wonders why he’s spending 200k on a bang average League 1 striker...
We’re a completely different side now to that day, which was really quite easy for you. We’ll play our 5 at the back and try and contain you until half time, then push on a bit in the second half. We’ve got much more bite in midfield now, but we’ve lost our keeper and top scorer in the last...
Oh don’t you just love a Tuesday night Devonshiring. Not ideal for us from a relegation perspective but all of that goes out the window on nights like tonight - it really is Halifax’s to lose now.
I hate all this “concentrate on the league” nonsense. Especially when we played our strongest team - I’d understand if we played our reserves to rest up our first team.
The loss of Corie Andrews is hitting us hard and I just can’t see where the goals are going to come from to keep us up...
Indeed. Think we’ll know a bit more once you lot below us have all played their games in hands over us, plus think there’s some massive games this month at the bottom - I know we’ve got Southend and Weymouth in the next couple of weeks which should either move us to safety or put us right back...
Scott Wagstaff has left us for Bromley.
Can’t say I’m too disappointed in this, don’t think we ever saw the best in him but he seems a decent enough player for this level.
Laurie Walker (our keeper) has been recalled by MK Dons. Gutted about this one - the best keeper we’ve had since being down here IMO. Will be interesting to see if we get a new keeper in, or stick with Mitch Walker who’s confidence looked absolutely shot before Laurie Walker came in.
