    Match Day 21st October matches

Wedgbury is out ill apparently, but we start with a much better looking side than the one that played at Fylde with Pearson and Akil Wright back starting. Early season top of the flops Boden and Mackreth are back where they belong and Roberts replaces Hurst at right back. Cautiously optimistic...

    2017/18 FA Cup

Weirdly flat atmosphere away at Fylde today. I'm sure that was partly due to the pleasant yet soulless ground and the club we were playing, but then the team selection didn't inspire either, which was overly negative and defensive for a cup competition. And then we took too long making changes...

    2017/18 FA Cup

Brackley were not mentioned in my post. It wasn't specifically about you lot. I was responding to a Gateshead fan talking about Ballericky, or whatever they're called. I also appear to have made a really valuable contribution to the discussion for someone who was absolutely hammered at 1.55 in...

    2017/18 FA Cup

Bankrolled clubs are bankrolled clubs man. You're all the same. At least Bellericay are trying to be funny too. So they can stand out from the crowd when they get to our level. Forward thinking.

    National League Fixtures - 30/9/2017

With no standout teams, having the standout defence could prove to be even more important this season. As the well known proverb goes In the land of the inconsistent football teams, Manny Smith is king

    Sack Race - 2018/19

Playoff final losers struggling a bit the following season is definitely a thing. I think Neil Ashton actually said how it took it's toll on the Wrexham squad. The feeling in the dressing room perhaps not quite as buoyant as it had been previously under Morrell. That could be seen as an excuse...

    Fao wrexham

disappointing lack of red footwear there I was quite late to the game, but I'm pleased I managed to get a seat a bit higher up and avoid that accident waiting to happen. Ended up near to a kid enthusiastically blowing a vuvuzela, but I'll take temporary ear bleeding over potential death.

    Match Day 16th September 2017

Have to say I perversely enjoyed Guisley's time wasting. It certainly added a bit of colour to a generally piss poor match. And that equaliser felt pretty satisfying.

    Torquay in crisis?

Very much so and I wouldn't have sacked him. I think he got a bit of a rough deal at Wrexham with senior players causing him shit and the board not properly backing or supporting him. I'm glad to see he's doing well. Apparently he's a nice bloke too. And he's ace at powerpoint presentations...

    National League Fixtures : 09/09/17

Doesn't sound like the greatest game of football ever down at Torquay. But it's 0-0 and Wrexham have generally played better after half time in games so far this season.

    Torquay in crisis?

People seemed a bit bemused when we properly advertised our managers job after Morrell left. Radio 5 had an item on it and everything. But the applications arrived by the truck load. From the editor of Kerrang magazine to joke candidates such as Gary Brabin. Of course they were all left in the...

    Sack Race - 2018/19

Mills didn't have a good season last season.

Match Day Bank holiday Monday fixtures

He was injured in the warm up three games ago, but is back fit and was on the bench today. I'd imagine Dibble will keep his place for now though. He's playing well.

Match Day Bank holiday Monday fixtures

Holy shit. Up to 4th place. Smith and Pearson were nailed on to be a sensational centre back pairing. No surprise that we can grind out results like that with them two in the defence. Sounded like Police Community Support Officer Dibble had another good game in goal too. Which is a bit of a...

Match Day Bank holiday Monday fixtures

I expect us to lose today, but we did look more like a football team and created chances against Woking so there's a glimmer of hope. There's certainly potential for an upset down there. After Boden and Roberts got rightly dropped last game, I've just seen that Keates has now put Marcus Kelly...

Match Day National League Fixtures 19/08/17

Keates reverting to the diamond he played last season then. Didn't Darlington also play that way when he was our temporary manager? I'd rather we tried 433, but at least it brings Kelly into a position where he can influence the game.

Match Day National League Fixtures 19/08/17

Rubbish we are. Some good signings over the summer, but Keates is looking very much like the rookie manager he is at the moment. Fortunately he's got time to improve and sort shit out with that 20 year contract, although I'd prefer that to start against Woking next Saturday please. Sounds like...

Match Day National League Fixtures 19/08/17

Whatever Maidstone you give us, we aren't going to be scoring several goals against you. That I can almost guarantee. Although Alex Reid starting gives us a bit of hope for scoring more than none.

Match Day National League Fixtures 12/08/2017

We clearly need another striker in the squad, but we also need to set the side up and play in a way that gets the best out of the players we have. We've got a small squad, but we do have some good players. This isn't happening and it's a bit disappointing to see to be honest.
