Match Fred: Good Friday Edition sponsored by Kevin Wilkin

And him being the leagues best keeper. Surprised you heard our 74 over your massive, loud, passionate, "best fans in the league" crowd. You don't half make me larf at times.

    24th March match thread

This will be our 7th game so far in March and judging by the reports of our performance against Dover we are starting to look a bit lethargic. Heard today that Bartlett is out injured and together with the loss of a number of others, notably Clark, Turnbull, Campbell and Oster to injuries, and...

No he doesn't own the land and no groundworks were done. Its all gone very quiet, whilst there are rumours that the club are looking at various derelict land sites with the council I can't see the chairman embarking on what would be an expensive project any time soon given his comments re the IS.

Clubs In This League In Size Order

Surely if one includes history as a criteria then either; short lived reformed clubs like Halifax, Telford and Chester would be down near the bottom with us, or we with our illustrious Football league history and FA cup exploits should be up at the top as well? Point being this is a...

    Gateshead F.C.

On the back burner at present. Plan stalled in the financial crisis as potential partners and lease holders for office space pulled out. Also the chairman has been quoted as saying he no longer considers a new purpose built football ground vital to the future of GFC. Apparantly his...

    3rd March Midweek Match Thread

Good win for us, nice to see a win at home for a change. Not a classic and Wrexham, although tidy in their build up play offered little other than punts into the box or from set pieces. Excellent goals from Rodman and Gooch, the former having a really good game.

    28th February Conference Match Thread

Very disappointed with today. We were all over Rovers for the first half with no end product whilst Mills persists in playing this weeks latest loanee from Sunderland or Newcastle and Jon Shaw sits on the bench not getting any game time. Rovers set up to defend and were well protected by a...

Since we played you in December we have won 3 drawn 2 and only lost once in the league, that said if you go at us from the off you will win.

    Who do you want up/down?

Thats the same soft southern logic that had us unfairly voted out of the football league despite finishing third bottom in 1960 so you can just sod off.

    24th Feb Match Thread

we no longer groundshare as the egg chasers have merged with Newcastle and now play at Kingston Park. Our pitch issues were two years ago now and we havn't had a league game postponed since. Fa cup tie last year and a couple of trophy games this year have been lost due to severe and adverse...
