Signed Brooklyn Ilunga from MK Dons, wing back. Probably means Danny Imray moving onto bigger and better things as his ability demands, glad we helped him on his way.
Delayed response about Nicke Kabamba signing as I was enjoying our FA Cup weekend. Cost may look a little high and Barnet may not be worried about losing him, all I’d say is we’ve got good history and complete faith in Woody and his transfers / loans. He’s made many more good moves than bad ones.
Interesting debate to which there is only one logical answer, 2 automatically up from National League and 2 automatically down from EFL Div 2 PLUS a playoff between 3rd in NL and 3rd from bottom in EFL 2 to decide final promotion / relegation place. Your so called ‘bigger / established’ clubs...
Well beaten today, best team won. We looked like a team running on post Xmas empty which is exactly why we need to strengthen our squad. Well played Crewe, deserved everything you got today. Really sad Grant is now suspended for our FA Cup trip to Newcastle but self inflicted . . . .
Added Omar Sowunmi (from Sutton but ex Bromley), Marcus Dinanga (Gateshead - sadly injured), Danny Imray (loan from Crystal Palace) plus three other loans in midfield, so yes we’re pretty much as last season plus some good signings and loans. We’ll need to strengthen in January but Woody has...
We’re looking settled, strong, tough to beat and competitive in EFL Div 2. Nothing fancy, but confident in what we do. We’ll need to bolster our squad in January but so far, so good. 2024 was great, really looking forward to 2025
Optimistically thinking come 3rd January we’ll be down to 2 wins from safety, and completed our first double in EFL Div 2. However, my head says take a point, with 1 - 1 draw
Think we’re about 5 wins away from safety and a decent start to life in the EFL. Being able to say that before 2025 is better than expected. Woody is doing a cracking job for us, long may it last
Watched yesterday’s game with two Port Vale supporting friends. Cracking advert for Div 2, Vale were poor first half, we should have gone in at halftime at least 2-0 up. Reorganisation and change on the left side for Vale at halftime meant they got better second half and yes looking at the...
And so it starts . . . . It does make me chuckle that you can play FA Cup matches, World Cup qualification matches, International matches etc etc on good quality 4 & 5G pitches but the good old EFL won’t allow it. All top teams now train regularly on 4 & 5G pitches, and there isn’t a player in...
