The stadium is really well located within the city centre so you'll be pretty hard pressed to find somewhere that'll inconvenience yourself. I'd probably recommend the quayside for both pub/restaurants and locality to stadium.
No fair enough, it's a great point. I think there is a massive jump and the quality in the majority of our current squad are somewhere in between the two divisions any way.
I also think it's looking likely that Mitrovic will be leaving, whether it's in Jan or the Summer.
Aye we were quite close in Summer had it not been for his injury unless I'm mistaken? Problem is at that point though is I'd be pretty disappointed if we weren't preparing for a return to the PL next Summer. Reckon he could make the step up having just come back from said injury having no top...
We're very unpredictable at home. If teams come to play we seem to be untouchable (3-0 Reading, 2-0 Brighton, 4-0 Brum) but we come unstuck against teams that have nothing to lose (Blackburn, Wolves, Huddersfield (at the time)). It just depends how you set up really but it'll be a good game as...
In a change of topic, we've been linked with Loftus-Cheek (loan) in the local press. Would make sense considering Shelvey's impending ban and the AFCON that'll take Diame out of the squad for a few weeks in Jan.
The Club and the player have asked for the full explanation but it seems that he will appeal it. The FA have said they'll have that to him in 7 days and then that's when the ban will start. Seems to be standing his ground on this but if it's upheld then he deserves everything he gets.
Tell me about it. Remember reading this before the match and I forgotten our bad form went so far back...

For what it's worth and aside it being a weeknight, my trip to Wigan last week was one of the best I've had in years. 5 min taxi from the Station to the ground with a good few pubs in close proximity and on the way back the town was dead nice with loads of pubs to choose from whilst we waited...
I have no idea what our business will be like in January to be honest. Barring a LB maybe, I think our first 11 and squad are good enough to continue to compete at the top for the rest of the season.
There'll be the obligatory link of Andy Carroll's return but that's a given.
Pretty excited about this year to be honest. Last year was the first year I'd spent away from home for the day itself so I'm dragging my fiance to my parents this time. At the Club by 10am and I'm usually one for the festive music too.
Same. I get to most in the North West so I'm looking forward to this.
To be honest with Brighton on somewhat of a roll, I'd take two 1-0 wins this week as we have the goal difference behind us.
