Abraham shouldn't be the be all end all of Villa.
Hogan, Kodjia, Grealish, Bolasie, Lansbury, Hourinhane, Chester, Elphick, Whelan.. that's not even all of 'em. Loans from United, Athletico, Lille....
If Smith has anything about him he'll get them playing, if not he's wank.
Alex Pearce gone to Millwall on loan for the rest of the season. Decent player.
Interest in Anya from Birmingham. Someone take him and Butterfield for fuck sake.
Aye. It's more getting him fit first nowadays though, he's never really got back up to speed here. Seems to have done ok for our under 23's, it'll be a great signing if you get him going... looked a world beater when we signed him in 2014. Will be keeping a close eye on his progress.
Looks like George Thorne is off to Luton on loan for the rest of the season. Exactly what he needs, to go and prove he can still compete. Good deal all round hopefully, coup for Luton if they can get him match fit/sharp.
Can’t grumble with a point.
Could have gone down 2-1 but equally should have nicked it at the end with the Nugent chance. He’s looking rusty to say the least.
Don’t think we’ve got the consistency to trouble the top 2, would loved to be proved wrong obviously. Great having loads of young lads run riot at times but with their age comes inconsistency.
Top 6 would be massive and I’d be chuffed with 6th place.
Thought you were much better first 20, we played well for 25 minutes for the rest of the half. Didn't really threaten bar that one Wilson chance. It's all well and good looking pretty for 20 minutes but we just didn't capitalise. Didn't deserve to go in 1-0 down but not sure we deserved to be...
Weird way of looking at it. Do we discount all the saves your keeper made in the second half just to suit the argument or?
No doubt we were poor and you were marginly better but that's a narrow view of the game IMO. You could have nicked it for sure, but so could we.
We were really comfortable until we started threading through balls for City's players. Second half was pretty sloppy all round. They had a couple of good chances, so did we, could have gone either way.
We're not playing very well at all on the whole. Fear for us going into these next few fixtures.
Thought he was an odd appointment anyway. Never really got going, if had owt about him he would have shown it so not a bad thing for Wednesday. Chairman next and I'm sure they'll be happy.
Weimann on the wing already?
We're not quite at it, if we can put 40/50 minutes of a good performance together like we did vs Swansea we should do alright. No game is a 'must win' at this stage but with Sheffield United, Norwich, Boro and Leeds to come after this it's pretty vital we get 3 points.
