I'd say it's a great sign, the club appear to be preparing for the worst case (a prolonged stay beyond parachute payments) to give the best possible funding for the squad and keeping the club healthy?
Young Blades & England youth keeper Marcus Dewhurst returns to Guiseley on a season long loan. He was with us last season from January and was a big part of keeping us out of the relegation spots.
I wasn't there today but listening to Guiseley Radio they thought we were way under par today and not playing our usual high pressing game. Perhaps the York game sapped too much as it was 90mph the whole game.
Today was also the first for the keeper as up to now we have been playing a loanee...
My experience of Curzon this season - they like to try and bully the opposition with their physicality but whenever they fail to do that and the opposition win the ball they immediately throw themselves on the floor and scream like school girls.
No time for those antics. Ref worked them out...
The lack of decent terracing is all thanks to Leeds Council Planners declining permission when the club were ready to invest. Improvements now seem to be on the back burner :(
Guiseley 0-0 York
A very entertaining game, both teams going for the win and I'm amazed it stayed goal less!
A draw the fairest result as neither team deserved to lose this one.
Guiseley 1-2 Alfreton (referee 3)?
Some bizarre and incredibly soft decisions from the ref today.
Not a bad game to watch, Guiseley work rate not up to the usual standards and two sitters missed in the second half. Alfreton probably deserving of the three points overall.
Bloody hot out there so...
A well earned draw at Boston today with ten men after losing George Cantrill on 20 minutes to a red card.
I would have been happy with a draw there with a full team to be honest!
Lessons learned, so far anyway!
Guiseley 3 -1 Spennymoor
I can't remember the last time we had a striker that could out play and out muscle James Curtis. Congrats to Aaron Martin
