Losing Rodriguez is a big blow for Wolfsburg. His set piece delivery (as we've already seen) is huge for them scoring against United. He's much stronger defensively than Schafer, too.
Keeping is definitely sub-standard. Overall I thought this was a good season/final for the MLS, though I'm sure they'd have preferred two larger markets than Portland and Columbus playing in the final. These are two sides without the marquee designated players, they both played decent stuff, and...
I won't be too miffed either way. We don't have a chance at winning the CL, but England (and thus Arsenal) could do with the coefficient points and a longer run with Thursday matches won't help our depleted squad. The league should remain the priority regardless of what happens here.
Fabian Johnson has been brilliant for them in this time. He appears to be thriving now that he's moved from fullback into midfield. The American football media are loving it.
I don't think that's true, though I agree with what you're saying above. We simply didn't have the personnel to match what Jose prefers to do, and has done with great success. I tend to think he wouldn't have bothered being in a position where he had a mid-table net spend, either way.
In 33 Premier League matches for Manchester United, Fellaini has made 6 goals, 0 assists, and 36 shots. That isn't good - that is a sub-Bendtner level of production.
Right, so how does that support the original post (excuse) I responded to?
I posited that, despite City having better replacements, they are missing players of higher quality, thus the gap between first choice and replacement level is about even - thus the irrelevance of G- Dragon's excuse...
You did. That's 2 of 6 road games - how many goals have your scored in the other 4 away games? I was simply offering the fact that United average fewer shots away from home than every side in the league bar West Brom - they are more negative/less adventurous on the road.
