Definitely on top, but not quite creating the desired final ball or not controlling it when it gets there. Now we've lost Matt too. Both goal scorers gone. Should hopefully get something second half. That's three players lost in the last two games, it puts s different perspective on things.
Good luck today. My brother would have been there too I'm sure. He was a life long Town supporter, unlike myself. He's definitely still wearing the shirt, that's a fact.
Our win over Mansfield Tuesday was massive. Third successive home game today. And three points here would be huge for promotion ambitions. Therefore the pressure today on the players will be equal to Tuesday. May have lost another player on Tuesday night. All adds to the mix. Not getting any...
Someone on here once said you really just need a league to play in. In the end that is all that matters even if it's below expectations. I bet Hereford will get back here one day, maybe.
You are at home, so should be ok, maybe! But at theirs and 4-1 up you expect to go on to win. Second half they tore us apart. They can be lethal going forward. Drew 5-5!! We have them at home soon too. Will be interested to see how you go tomorrow.
I had a season ticket for about four seasons running, but finally found the timing difficult and no longer affordable what with going on holiday around the same financial period. So now go more selectively, although still regularly. I only to to three or four away games a season. I'll go with my...
We had the edge all night. We've looked like a weary outfit at times over the last couple of months, but tonight we looked strangely relaxed and full of energy. A very hard working performance even if clear chances were restricted. A massive result for us.
Trying to stay optimistic, but we seldom look like scoring at home now. If Mansfield play the high press and get us on counters, that should be enough. We only ever play one way so hard to see where the difference will appear from.
Bet365 have Mansfield at 3/1 atm to win Tuesdays game. Extremely good value. Not sure if we can get anything from the game, but as The Jovial Forester says, we may surprise and raise our game. Trouble is there is no sofa to hide behind on the Terrace. Going to be a painful experience.
Best we can hope for is a scrappy goal in second half. Some reasonable build up play, but lacking any quality in front of goal. Stevens off injured. Hard to predict this one.
I remember playing Sutton first game of the season. Really tough opposition, well organised with neat tidy football. We just pulled that one off, scoring the odd goal ten minutes from time. I remember thinking they would do well in the league. They struggled for quite a while result wise before...
Dale will feel a bit disappointed not to get a point from that one. We were not up for until we went behind. Suddenly the tempo changed completely and we were really on it finally. Another day that could just as easily been a defeat. We knew it would hard and they played the highpress very well...
