Hang on.
FGR will probably be one the bookies favourites to go straight back down but why are you fuming at FGR when it was a Pompey fan who made remark.
BTW I believe that both Pompey & Bolton are traditional BIG BEASTS in this division and both deserve to do well.
Yep, I omitted other Cup Trophies other than FA & League Cup otherwise I'd be adding Cup wins such as: -
Leamington Hospital Cup
Midland Floodlit Cup
Gloucestershire Senior Cup
Gloucestershire Senior Amateur North Challenge Cup
etc etc
What a day Saturday has been. Spent the whole time in the pub watching sport.
The Conference semi Wrexham 4-5 Grimsby was one of the most exciting games I’ve watched for a while.
Qualification for Monaco Grand Prix was so-so. Disappointed that the Brits did not do better: -
5th Norris...
FGR are not only new boys to this league but also the most recent club admitted to the EFL at this level.
Therefore it will be a 1st ever meeting between FGR and five other teams: Barnsley, Ipswich, Peterboro, Portsmouth, Sheff Wednesday.
Of the rest FGR only met Charlton & Derby in Cup...
On this forum site there has been much discussion that League 1 is broken down between the top teams and the rest.
There are four teams that have previously won the league title: - Derby, Ipswich, Portsmouth & Sheff Wednesday.
Plus seven teams who have won the FA Cup: - Barnsley, Bolton...
Last manager that FGR signed from Notts Co got them promoted in first season and then two more promotion play-offs: - Mark Cooper.
And he arrived in the Summer break.
Good omens perhaps.
Obviously I explained my point badly but I stand firm in what I said.
TNL offers away fans the entire run of the West Stand, unusual but not unique. What I think is unique for the Football League is that it is a complete standing area where the away fans can and do move depending which end...
Thanks for that information for away fans, but remember it will 1st season that FGR have played League 1 football, hence your knowledge is far greater than mine.
Away supporters at TNL must stand during game, except for a small number in the bus shelter. That gives them a tremendous advantage when questioning referees decisions. They can and have affected the game in their favour.
And just as a matter of interest, the TV gantry is situated above away...
I agree. Indeed I believe that FGR will be one of the bookies relegation favourites.
FGR ended season in virtual relegation form plus they've lost their charismatic manager and some 1st teamers.
Also they will have the smallest attendance in League 1 even when packed to the rafters.
And...
FGR Chairman Dale Vince has said that FGR will be playing Watford in Championship in season after next. He is still spitting feathers that they pinched his manager.
But it shows his mind set that he does not consider FGR to be in threat of relegation next season.

for an amusing lowdown of Watford / Rob Edwards 'Sour Grapes' farrago. [Only 2 minutes]
Football historians will look back at FGR’s historic title win with a lot of bemusement.
At one stage of season from being best of the rest with a 10 point advantage and called Champions elect FGR just about crawled over the title winning line on their knees.
At start of season the fans were...
Of course Ady did good after his stint at Barrow.
He went off to Singapore and won the Premiership title in 1st season with club.
BTW his deputy Jamie Day at FGR & Barrow became the longest serving and most successful national team manager of Bangladesh.
Mark enhanced his reputation as a...
