Impressive performance first half. The link up play and passing were spot on. Despite the loss against Burnley, I'm happy with the start.. 10 points from the Champions as well as Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea away is great.
I thought second half we let them come on to us a bit too much which is...
Very good attacking display. Defence is still suspect however there were only 2 natural defenders playing but it does need to be addressed in January if it continues.
Firmino, Mane and in particular Lallana were awesome.
Leicester will be fine they just couldn't handle us. They were also poor...
We played well. Probably done enough to get all 3 points but yet again the defence has one lapse and we concede.
This new rule of no contact in the box is too inconsistent too. Seen penalties given already this season for next to nothing but Matip gets thrown to the floor and the ref gives a...
Many poor performances today. Firmino anonymous, Coutinho greedy, Henderson woeful and Sturridge was too deep.
Same old really. As I said earlier, well dominate but not really create anything. 81% possession and nothing to show for it. Going forward we were awful compared to last week.
Even a £5.5 mil loss at worst isn't too bad.. that's like 18 weeks wages for Wayne Rooney. He scored some match winning goals last season too.
It's a shame it didn't work out as he is still a really good player, but not the right one for us. Glad we've recouped the majority of what we overpaid...
I'm going for a boring 0-0. Burnley will shut up shop and we'll really struggle to break them down. There's no way we'll be allowed space to get in behind. We'll end up with over 60% possession but do very little with it.
Pretty much saw the two Liverpool's in one game today. There isn't really an in between.
We all know what we're capable of on our day, but then there's no surprise if we go and lose to Burnley next weekend. We've already summed ourselves up twice within the last couple of weeks, beating Barca...
He's good enough if you're not too fussed about getting relegated.. he's an awful defender. I can't decide who's the worst between him vs Traore vs Josemi vs Cissokho vs Konchesky.
We'll take him back for £5mil and a Co-op £3 meal deal for each of his 15 kids.
How do all of these City signings fall in line with the financial fair play thing? I'm no expert on it. To me £64mil for Jesus and Sane is inSane...
He's had one good season and that was the one before last. He's got a good engine but that's about it. His passing and shooting are awful. His tackling is alright but he's not a player you'd want if you want to try and push to break near the top 4. He gets nowhere near enough goals for his type...
Anyone know the actual kick off time between Chelsea and Liverpool? I'm setting my alarm to get up but various websites report 4.30ko and others 4ko. That extra half hour of sleep that I'd miss out on is crucial.
Smith has completed his move to Bournemouth for £3mil. Could be a good signing but I thought Daniels had a good season so he'd be hard to replace unless he's injured?
I actually prefer him to Moreno, but then I hold Moreno in the same category as Traore, Cissokho and Josemi as far as shite full...
I think Firmino will turn out to be a good signing. He was pretty good in the 2ND half of last season and he's looked good in pre-season.
I hear you about those types of signings. I think we should go for players who are in a similar position to us as a club with the odd gem in their ranks...
The only 2 reasons he'd choose us would be Klopp and for the money.
He's made the right choice if ever there was one, I just find it frustrating that we show lack of ambition in trying to get signings like Gotze when he goes for £18MIL especially when we sign a championship player the same day...
