Bizarrely, I have woken up extremely confident this morning and think we’ll get a decent win.
I’m usually pretty pessimistic so not sure where this feeling has come from and it’s based on nothing at all.
You assume correctly, actually looking forward to tomorrow, not felt like that about an away game for quite a while.
I’m hoping the amount of rain isn’t likely to ruin things?
I feel a lot better now, tonight couldn’t have gone any better for us.
Just played the top 3 in a row and come away unbeaten, a much, much kinder March ahead (hopefully!)
I agree, I got in the ground and said to my old man that I’ll miss Pompey if/when they go up.
The 180 mins we play against each other I forget we’re in league one. Proper contests, proper crowds, two decent clubs.
I get so annoyed weekly with how shit we are/have been.
In a league where Portsmouth, Derby and Bolton are the best it can offer and yet we’re still 5th from bottom, just shows you how terrible we have been this season.
Our 2019 play-off winning team would have this league wrapped up by now...
March is the month for us, full of winnable games and we have Cheltenham, Carlisle and Fleetwood in a row, 3 teams all below us.
If we can stay in touch and get through the next two games relatively unscathed (GD as ours is lightyears ahead of those around us) I’ll be feeling a lot better.
Ahead of who? If Reading and ourselves were doing better we’d have a few thousand slapped on top of our averages too.
Anyway, decent point on the road for us, the fight and desire that’s been missing for over 3 months, plus a bit of shithousery and gamesmanship that rattled the opposition...
There isn’t a manager alive that keeps this lot up.
It will take a miracle.
The first time in our 119 year history playing in the 4th tier, how miserable.
To be honest, I always found Vale one of the worst away days purely for places to drink etc, Stoke isn’t exactly a great alternative either.
This year though, with Brighton taking 5000 to Stoke on same day, decided to jump in a taxi to Newcastle under Lyme. Will be doing that in future now.
Blimey, that’s some statement.
We are a long, long, long way from being promotion contenders.
Still going to be tough to stay up, need to uncoach all the Appleton nonsense before we can really start to crack on.
