Best team we’ve played this season no doubt in my mind, fair play to Donny. Not a team to dominate possession and pass for the sake of it, they sat in and were to good defensively to break down and hit us with devastating counters and could have scored more. The first half was even up until the...
It was hard to tell with you pen call as the camera man seemed drunk all night and made it difficult to see at times. That said we were denied a stonewall penalty first half when the ref bizarrely gave us a free kick instead.
We beat Forest Green and Barrow away on Tuesday nights last year, but for whatever reason I'm never confident when it comes to them. We've had some shockers over the years, so it wouldn't surprise me to see us lose either.
There does seem to be a lot this year for whatever reason. As I said in my post last night, I think some of ours have been a blessing in some way. We look far better than we did at the start of the season, more mobile, organised and aggressive.
The first 3 of our 6 wins were somewhat fortunate, though don’t think xG was too bad. Last 3 we’ve been comfortable and the better team imo, solid shape and carry threat. That said some of our fans go on about our injuries like we’ll be unstoppable once they return, i actually think some have...
Good win for the bantams, if Kav hadn’t had a brainfart for the offside goal and we’d taken the lead I think it would have been more comfortable. Had chances to kill the game second half as well, since Gillingham have come back down to league 2 I’ve found them quite a negative team. A far cry...
Other than a 15 minute spell where it felt like Newport hired Beckham on each wing, putting in some beautiful crosses it was a comfortable win. That Hudlin despite his goal is an absolute donkey. Newport reminded me a bit of Crawley, quite tidy on the ball, would think they’ll be okay this season.
Went to Newcastle for over £2 million not long after, crazy money at the time I think the British record at the time was only something like £15 million.
You said you deserved the win because you hit the post twice with one shot, so I won’t take offence as you clearly either didn’t watch the game or have much understanding of what goes on.
Poor game of football, wombles fans seem easily pleased. That said their players were more interested in headlocks and ripping shirts about than playing football.
A game that will be forgotten about by 7.
Poor first half, but a soft penalty was a gift for Walsall and the lino seemed to struggle to keep up with play for a few potential offsides. Had enough opportunities to win second half comfortably, but it was a sketchy performance tbh which could have gone either way. We move on.
The kops a beautiful sight when packed with claret and amber. Need to play more clubs like Carlisle who bring a decent following as it really improves the spectacle.
