This whole Rowe thing has got 'gardening leave' written all over it. They'll be enough to say to him 'best if you do one but we'll keep paying you.' But not enough to outright sack him without some kind of legal action.
If he does go just have to hope he gets a job asap so Chesterfield aren't...
This is all I ask for. I'm still averaging 5 goals a game over every match I've seen this season so some goals wouldn't go amiss in this one after the 0-1 at Weymouth.
Think I'm with Shrimpurh in not clapping or booing Molesley, yes he had his hands and legs tied behind his back here but his...
First Southend game for me since Weymouth. Not sure what to make of tomorrows game, we're in much better form and appear to have a much clearer idea of a game plan but then from the looks of Aldershot I think the same could be said of them. I'd certainly be happy with a point.
Quietly pleased...
On todays showing I will be surprised if Weymouth aren't relegated, they were that bad Southend had the most comfortable afternoon for a good 3 or 4 years. Shame as it's a great away day.
I reckon about 500ish, we filled the seats and had at least 250-300 on the terrace. There looked to be more in the away section than the home ones, I was quite surprised when the tannoy said 1335 as the crowd.
Won't say this much this season: We were by far the better team, Weymouth were awful, poorest team I've seen this season and I include Chertsey in that. Should have won by more, weren't great by any stretch of the imagination, still so ponderous, slow on the ball and far too much sideways...
Professional teams tend to be terrible, barring how good Kidderminster used to be and the pies they had at Hereford 10-15 years ago.
But then go down the pyramid and there are many places where the food out does the football by quite some distance. A club near me, Punjab United, I won't eat...
God only knows what they'll think if they get promoted to this level, Southend don't even provide onions.
I prefer the Lewes fans and their pomegranate and hummus chips.
I was planning to go to that Dulwich game but it sold out the day before, never thought I'd have to buy in advance for it!
Went to Hastings on the 1st, crowd was 2017, which I think the tannoy guy said was a league record. Chatham had 1876 for a step 5 game the other day as well, that is some...
I've seen nothing from Brunt to suggest he can play anywhere but in an attacking midfield role, or in behind a front one/two. We kept playing him on the wing, he's utterly lost there and may as well have not been on the pitch. Great feet and touch and undoubtedly hampered by the utter crap...
Last away of the season for us is Wrexham, might get a few extra tickets to cover petrol money. There will be the stipulation to join in the usual last away fancy dress though, ticket price cut for any Welsh theme.
Southend P-P Bromley due to Southend's covid issues. We're in for a busy time, the Yeovil game postponed due to Yeovil's FA Cup game is on the 11th and surely they'll try and fit Barnet and Bromley in, in January and early February.
Me too. Didn't have a full squad for the Bromley game, but could field a team and subs.
Piece in the local rag with the NL general manager about how the National league goes about postponing games.
Teams have to have 14 fit and available first team players (including 1 goalkeeper).
He says...
Was contemplating the 4th round game at Dagenham until the prices were released today, £15 for a ticket. Is this because they're hoping we'll fill the away end or is this the usual kind of price for the 4th round of the trophy? (I've never watched a game in this past the 3rd round)
